HGTV PERFORMANCE TAKES OFF IN 2013 AS NETWORK PREMIERES MORE NEW SERIES AND RENEWS EARLY SUCCESSES

NEW YORK - Feb. 25, 2013 - HGTV is experiencing a record breaking start in 2013 with more than 49.6 million adult viewers tuning into its library of more than 800 hours of home-centric programming, including Property Brothers, Income Property, Love It or List It and Island Hunters. Covering real estate, renovation, luxury living, home improvement and more, HGTV is building off this success with two new series premieres, Love It or List It Too and Auction Agent, and second season renewals of Hawaii Life and Scoring the Deal.

"Thanks to our broad range of home-centric programming and top talent, we've got incredible ratings momentum at HGTV," said Kathleen Finch, HGTV's general manager. "One of our biggest hits is Love it or List it - even Hilary Clinton has gone on record as a fan - so we're adding a companion spin-off series and welcoming two new talent to the HGTV family with Love it or List it Too."

With more than 11.8 million adult viewers tuning into the fifth season of hot primetime series, Love It or List It, HGTV is also premiering Love It or List It Too, featuring Jillian Harris, interior designer and Season 5 star of "The Bachelorette." Every Monday, beginning March 4 at 11 p.m. ET, 26 one-hour episodes of Love It or List It Too will showcase Harris and real estate agent Todd Talbot competing for homeowners' final decision to stay or go, as they help them explore appealing potential properties and reveal how a fresh renovation could spark new love for their existing property. Harris uses her design chops to sway them to stay by adding a dazzling redesign to overlooked walls, while Talbot shows them stunning, move-in-ready listings. Each team provides insider perspective on the real estate market and demonstrates innovative tips for designing on a budget. No matter the final decision, the renovation and hard work ultimately adds value to the current home.

Voyeuristic entertainment is also striking a cord with HGTV viewers as more than 15 million adults checked out the first season of Hawaii Life. Helping to propel HGTV to its highest-rated New Year's Day primetime in its history and currently ranking as one of its Top 10 prime programs, the network has green lit a second season. Premiering in October, the half-hour series follows the brokers at Hawaii Life realty firm and their endless stream of clients who are abandoning their 9-to-5 lives stateside to take hold of life in paradise. From Oahu and Kauai to The Big Island and Maui, the properties range from $50,000 plots of land to $50 million dollar dream homes. The 130-plus brokers at the firm are unlikely real-estate moguls - many of whom made the leap to "the life" in Hawaii and want to see others enjoy it, too. Hawaii Life captures these brokers who make island-living dreams a reality, and sell by the code "you don't have to be rich to live in Hawaii; you just have to want it."

Since its premiere in early January, more than 9.3 million adults have tuned into Scoring the Deal, another voyeuristic, fantasy series that follows the "Jerry Maguire of Real Estate," Jason Abrams, through the fast-paced world of real estate for the world's best professional athletes. Abrams and his team, along with their financing affiliates, have taken part in more than 450 professional athletic transactions, including NFL pros Clinton Portis, Adewale Ogunleye, Cato June, Vontae and Vernon Davis, and NBA stars Greivis Vasquez and Jordan Farmar. Originally launching its first season with six half-hour episodes, HGTV is picking up a second season premiering in August.

In the vein of HGTV's popular series, Flea Market Flip (Season 2, March 15 at 9 p.m. ET), the network continues to embrace the growing trend of "repurpose, renew and rejuvenate" with the debut of Auction Agent, a new series featuring Missouri State Auction Champ Christie Hatman. The self-described "Auction Queen," who loves to say she's a fast talking woman that's smart enough to get paid for it, is taking her talents and love of unique items on the road with this five-episode, half-hour program debuting on March 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Each episode documents her travels as she visits homeowners around "The Show Me State" in search for cool finds to auction. From European treasures, classic pop-culture fare to high-end antiques, Auction Agent captures the fine art of selling goods to the highest bidder.
