BREED (TNT; W: John Scott Shepherd; D: Scott Winant) - The supernatural drama - about a volatile race of creatures who are committing brutal murders in the Pacific Northwest, and the reluctant FBI investigator who pairs with a female assassin to track them - has been ordered to pilot by the cable channel. Nicky Weinstock of Invention Film Co. also serves as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)

LIMITLESS (CBS, New!) - Craig Sweeny ("Elementary") has scored a pilot production commitment for a new drama based on the 2011 feature, about Brian Sinclair (Bradley Cooper), "as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug enhanced abilities for good." Cooper himself is on board to executive produce the CBS Television Studios-based hour alongside Yet To Be Named Company's Todd Phillips; K/O Paper Products' Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Heather Kadin; Relativity Television's Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Tom Forman; and the film's director Neil Burger, who's attached to direct. POTUS (FOX, New!) - Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves ("Sleepy Hollow") have sold a new drama to the network about "an American President frustrated with politics as usual, who decides to play by his own rules." "24" alums Manny Coto and Evan Katz are supervising the hour with Teakwood Lane's Howard Gordon also executive producing for 20th Century Fox Television. Chalsen and Greaves will serve as co-executive producers, as will Hugh Fitzpatrick. (Deadline.com)

Brian Cox, Peter Sarsgaard, Lucas Hedges, Zachary Quinto, Thandie Newton and Thomas Sadoski also star. (TVLine.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - AMC has passed on its drama pilots "Knifeman" and "Galyntine" (Deadline.com); Mitch Glazer's period Miami casino mob series "Magic City" is heading to the big screen with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danny Huston, Olga Kurylenko and Kelly Lynch all reprising their roles (Deadline.com); Miles Fisher will recur on FXX's "Man Seeking Woman" as "the boyfriend of Josh's (Jay Baruchel) ex-girlfriend" (Deadline.com); and Cat Grant, James Olsen, Winslow "Wynn" Schott and Hank Henshaw are among the latest roles being cast for CBS's "Supergirl" (TVLine.com).
