(Deadline.com)
DIETLAND (AMC) - Adam Rothenberg is set as the male lead on the upcoming drama as "a rough-around-the-edges NYPD detective whose investigation into a hack at Austen Media gives him far more than he bargained for, including an unexpected emotional and intellectual attraction to Plum." (Deadline.com)

Lesley Wake Webster is penning the script and will executive produce alongside Hough and Diane Warren as well as KatzSmith's David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith. (Deadline.com)

Reitman himself is attached to direct and executive produce via his The Montecito Picture Company alongside Julius Goldy Sharpe and Tom Pollock, with Amie Karp and Peter Fried producing for Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)

Though lonewolf Eddie resents the babysitting gig, high-spirited Ella proves herself to be surprisingly valuable, drawing on her acting skills and 200 episodes of playing a detective. When the press touts Ella's role in solving a high-profile case, Eddie finds his phone ringing off the hook with new clients looking to hire the pair." Milmar Pictures' Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller are behind the ABC Studios-based project, which has a straight-to-series order.
