AM I THERE YET? (Amazon, New!) - Camilla Blackett is developing a comedy series at Amazon Studios based on Mari Andrew's book, billed as "a soulful, honest and optimistic guide to growing up, capturing all the feelings and comical complexities of budding adulthood in your 20s." Rachel Brosnahan and Paige Simpson of Scrap Paper Pictures will executive produce alongside Blackett and Alexandra Zimbler Smith with Andrew serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
BABYLON BERLIN (Netflix) - Mark Ivanir has signed on for a fourth season of the series in a yet-to-be-revealed recurring role. (Deadline.com)
BETCHES/WOMAN WORLD (Freeform) - The cable channel has confirmed it has passed on both animated projects however it remains invested in "cracking" the genre. (Deadline.com)
BETTER CALL SAUL (AMC) - The show's final season is now expected to begin production next month in New Mexico for a premiere in the first quarter of 2022. (Deadline.com)
BOYS, THE (Amazon) - "Supernatural" alums Meredith Glynn, David Reed and Jim Michaels have joined the Eric Kripke-created series' third season. Glynn and Reed will serve as executive producers with Michaels as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE OKAY (Freeform) - Richard Kind and Maria Bamford will recur on the upcoming second season as Toby, "Drea's (Lillian Carrier) slightly odd, mostly oblivious but lovable father"; and Suze, "Drea's (Carrier) enthusiastic, emotionally vulnerable, hands-on mother," respectively. FBI: MOST WANTED (CBS) - Miguel Gomez is joining the cast of the series in the new regular role of Special Agent Ivan Ortiz, "a former LAPD Gang Unit officer born and raised in Los Angeles. After a stint with the FBI's counter-terror unit in Washington, DC, he joins the team to be with the "best of the best" who track down the country's most wanted fugitives. Ortiz has a street cop's instincts, a gift for undercover work, and a sly sense of humor that he'll employ as he tries to find his place with Jess (series star Julian McMahon) and the tight-knit team." INSTANT KARMA (HBO Max, New!) - Marissa Meyer's bestselling novel is being developed as a half-hour series by the streaming service, which "centers on overachiever Prudence Barnett who is known to quickly cast judgment on others. After dreaming of being able to inflict karma on the frustrating residents of her coastal town, Prudence is surprised when she wakes up with the sudden ability to cast instant karma on those around her. However, there's one person powers backfire on, her lazy lab partner Quint. After volunteering at the rescue center where Quint works, Prudence begins to not only learn more about Quint but begins questioning her initial judgments of everyone around her." She'll serve as a co-producer on the project. No other auspices were given. (THR.com)
MASTERS OF THE AIR (Apple TV+) - Austin Butler and Callum Turner are the first to be cast in the 10-episode World War II drama based on the book by Donald L. Miller and produced by Steven Spielberg. Butler will star as Major Gale Cleven, while Turner will play Major John Egan. No other specifics about their roles were given. Apple Studios, Amblin Television and Playtone are co-producing. PACHINKO (Apple TV+) - Soo Hugh has signed a multi-year overall deal with Universal Content Productions to develop new series projects for the studio. Additionally, she'll "launch an incubator program with the mandate of helping new Asian voices create shows and establish careers in the industry." (Deadline.com)
SHAMELESS (Showtime) - Patrick Sabongui will recur on the show's current season as Martin, "a city slicker in a crisp suit; the landlord who has a run-in with Carl." (Deadline.com)
SHINING GIRLS (Apple TV+) - Wagner Moura will star opposite Elisabeth Moss in the metaphysical thriller based on the 2013 best-selling novel by Lauren Beukes. He'll play Dan, "a veteran journalist breaking the widening story of a copycat attack." (Deadline.com)
TRANSPLANT (NBC) - Torri Higginson's Claire Malone will return as a regular for the show's second season. (Deadline.com)
