Animated Cast of "Family Guy" to Make a Special Appearance

The casts of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Desperate Housewives" have been set as presenters on THE 57TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Sunday, Sept. 18 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. In addition, the animated cast of "Family Guy" will make a special appearance. They join previously announced presenters Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson, Halle Berry, Zach Braff, Jon Cryer, Geena Davis, Patrick Dempsey, Charles S. Dutton, Craig Ferguson, Matthew Fox, Adrian Grenier, Alyson Hannigan, Mariska Hargitay, Hugh Laurie, Jason Lee, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Debra Messing, Chris O�Donnell, William Petersen, Ellen Pompeo, Kyra Sedgwick, Charlie Sheen, Jimmy Smits, James Spader, Jon Stewart, Kiefer Sutherland, Quentin Tarantino and Sela Ward.

"Everybody Loves Raymond" has been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards this year in its eighth and final season. The veteran CBS show won the Emmy Award in 2003 for Outstanding Comedy Series and the actors have garnered numerous additional Emmys over the long run. Cast members include Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Peter Boyle, Doris Roberts and Monica Horan. Title character and executive producer Ray Romano has won two Emmy Awards, one in 2002 for his role as Raymond and the other for the show in 2003. Two-time Emmy-winning actors Heaton, who starred as Debra Barone, and Garrett, who starred as Robert Barone, are both nominated again this year for their roles on the show. Boyle is nominated for his seventh Emmy this year for his role as Frank Barone after winning the Emmy for a guest-starring role on "The X-Files" in 1996. Four-time Emmy-winning actress Roberts is nominated for her role as Marie Barone, after winning the Emmy for this role 2001, 2002 and 2003. Roberts received her first Emmy for her role on "St. Elsewhere" in 1983. Horan starred as Amy MacDougall Barone on the series.

"Desperate Housewives" has been nominated for 15 Emmy Awards in its first season. The new series has been recognized with an Outstanding Comedy Series nomination along with numerous individual nominations for its cast members. Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria and Nicollette Sheridan recently earned the 2005 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Hatcher garnered her first Emmy nomination this year for her role as Susan Mayer, which earned her the 2005 Golden Globe Award, the 2005 SAG Award, and a 2005 Television Critics Award nomination. Cross and Huffman also earned their first Emmy nods for their roles on the show, securing the "Housewives" with three out of the five nominations in the Lead Actress category. Longoria stars as Gabrielle Solis and Sheridan stars as Edie Britt on the hit series.

The two-time Emmy-winning animated series "Family Guy" is nominated this year for Outstanding Animated Program. The show won the Emmy Award in 2002 for Outstanding Music and Lyrics and show creator Seth MacFarlane won in 2000 for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance. The fourth season is currently on the air, after being picked up again when the DVD sold over five million combined units and produced record ratings on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. The regular cast showcases the voices of Seth McFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Mila Kunis.

THE 57TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS is being produced by Ken Ehrlich Productions and is presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Ken Ehrlich is the executive producer; Michael B. Seligman and Renato Basile are the producers; Danette Herman is the coordinating producer and executive in charge of talent. Bruce Gowers will direct.
