AMERICA'S GOT TALENT (NBC) - David Hasselhoff is departing the series after four seasons. "I am proud that I was part of making 'America's Got Talent' the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers," he said in statement released to People. "It's been a rewarding experience and now I'm thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly. I want to thank my friend, [executive producer] Simon Cowell, and everyone at NBC and Fremantle for the opportunity for four great years." No details were given about the aforementioned project. The Peacock is expected to name a replacement for Hasselhoff during its upcoming session at the TCA Winter Press Tour.

AMERICAN DAD/FAMILY GUY (FOX) - Twentieth Television has cleared the off-network run of "American Dad" on local stations covering 40% of the country for a fall 2011 launch. Tribune stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, Houston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Seattle, Miami, Sacramento, Indianapolis, San Diego, New Orleans, Hartford (CT) and Portland (OR) are among the participating outlets, as are FOX O&Os in Minneapolis and Orlando. The company was likewise cleared fellow animated entry "Family Guy" for a second off-network cycle on the same stations in a cash plus barter (one and a half minutes of ad time per half-hour for national sales) deal. Said run likewise begins in the fall of 2011 and runs through the 2014-15 season.

UNTITLED CARLOS MENCIA/CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER PROJECTS (ABC, New!) - Comedians Carlos Mencia and Cedric the Entertainer have each set up new multi-camera projects at the Alphabet. Both half-hours come from Sony Pictures Television and the studio-based Tantamount. Mitchel Katlin and Nat Bernstein are behind the Mencia effort, which "centers on a man in the middle of his very large multigenerational immigrant family." Brillstein Entertainment is also attached. Al Higgins and Devon Shepard then are penning the latter, which casts Cedric as "a retired baseball player-turned-radio host forced to re-evaluate the type of father he has been when his son and 6-year-old granddaughter re-enter his life."
