CSI: NY (CBS) - Co-star Melina Kanakaredes is departing the veteran crime drama after six seasons. It's understood the actress simply opted not to renew her contract with the network and producer CBS Television Studios. "We hoped Melina would return to CSI: NY for another season, but we respect her decision to move on," the pair said in a joint statement. "Her amazing talent and invaluable contribution to the success of the series are greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. She will forever remain a friend to the network and studio and we wish her the very best." The actress added, "I made some amazing and lifelong friendships during my six seasons on CSI: NY, and I will treasure them forever!" Sela Ward ("Once & Again") reportedly is in talks to join the series with an announcement expected as early as this week.


DETROIT 1-8-7 (ABC) - Erin Cummings has joined the cast of the Alphabet's new cop drama. She'll play Dr. Abbey Ward, the show's medical examiner, a role she guest starred as in the pilot. Aisha Hinds, D.J. Cotrona, James McDaniel, Jon Michael Hill, Michael Imperioli, Natalie Martinez and Shaun Majumder round out the ensemble cast.


ENLIGHTENED (HBO) - Timm Sharp ("'Til Death") has joined the cast of the pay channel's upcoming comedy, about "a self-destructive woman who has a spiritual awakening and decides to live an enlightened life, which creates havoc at home and work." He'll take over for Mos Def, whose deal couldn't close, as her new boss when she returns to work. Production on the series begins this week.


GAME OF THRONES (HBO) - Aidan Gillen ("The Wire") has joined the cast of the drama, a fantasy series based on George R.R. Martin's beloved novels. He'll play Littlefinger, the scheming "adviser to King Robert (Mark Addy) who manipulates those in power to fit his own agenda." No other details were given.


RUNNING WILDE (FOX) - Peter Serafinowicz has been upped to series regular on the freshman comedy, about Steve Wilde (Will Arnett), "a filthy-rich, immature playboy trying desperately to win (or buy) the heart of his childhood sweetheart and uber-liberal humanitarian (Keri Russell)." He'll continue on as Fa'ad Shaoulin, Steve's Oxford-accented neighbor and frenemy. Stefania Owen and Jayne Houdyshell also star in the half-hour. Joe Nunez's role of Migo Salazar, Steve's employee/sidekick/errand-boy, however is reportedly being recast.
