EYE FOR AN EYE (FX, New!) - Ice Cube is set to star in a potential drama at the cable channel about "a veteran paramedic, who, after too many years of leaving the scenes of violent crimes with a victim struggling to live in the back of his ambulance, snaps and starts going eye for an eye." The search is underway for a writer for the project, which Cube will likewise executive produce alongside his Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez and Prospect Park's Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry. POSEURS (The CW, New!) - Sara Rue will write and star in a potential multi-camera comedy at the netlet about "two friends - Lucy (Rue), recently dumped by her fiance, and Alexandra, freshly released from rehab - who pose as a lesbian couple and actually get married in order to stay in the nice apartment building that only allows married couples." Said half-hour is set up at Warner Bros. Television with Rue serving as a co-executive producer and her manager Alan David as a producer. (Deadline.com)


A ROPE AND A PRAYER (HBO, New!) - The kidnapping by the Taliban of two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times foreign correspondent David Rohde is set to be the focus of a new film at the pay channel. Michelle Ashford ("The Pacific") is penning the script to the project, which is based on Rohde and wife Kristen Mulvihill's book of the same name, subtitled "A Kidnapping from Two Sides." War correspondent-turned-documentary filmmaker Greg Barker ("Koran By Heart") is on board to direct while Michael London and Janice Williams will executive produce via their Groundswell Productions banner.
