ALL OF ME (NBC, New!) - Betsy Thomas ("My Boys") is developing a small screen take on the book-turned-feature, which starred Steve Martin as "attorney Roger Cobb hired by dying eccentric millionairess Edwina Cutwater (Lily Tomlin) to rework her will, making a beautiful young woman her soul beneficiary as Edwina arranges for a mystic to transfer her soul into the young woman's body. The transfer goes awry, and Roger ends up having to share his body with Edwina's soul." The TV take "would be an anthology series, with a different person jumping into the protagonist's body every week as he tries to help solve the problems that are holding them back." Universal Television is behind the half-hour with Dimitri Logothetis, Todd Garner and Jeremy Stein of Broken Road Productions also executive producing. (Deadline.com)

AMAZING STORIES (NBC, New!) - Bryan Fuller ("Hannibal") is spearheading a potential revival of Steven Spielberg's 1980s anthology series. Amblin Television's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey will also serve as executive producers on the Universal Television-based project, further details of which weren't given. (EW.com)

BETTER HALF, THE (ABC, New!) - Writer Emilia Serrano and comedian Patti Vasquez are set to team for a new multi-camera comedy at the Alphabet which "centers on a Mexican-American working mother who is a well-intentioned and sometimes-misguided citizen disrupter. She tackles the small and large injustices around her for the greater good, even though many times no one asks her to. Her well-meaning actions create consequences that affect her career, community and home life in the crowded Chicago brownstone she shares with her parents, husband and children." ABC Studios is behind the project, which Vasquez has likewise inked a talent holding deal. Serrano will serve as a co-executive producer with Peter Abrams, Robert Levy and Tapestry Television's Michael Schreiber executive producing and Vasquez and Kevin Cleary producing. (Deadline.com)

DEUCE, THE (HBO; W: David Simon & George Pelecanos; D: Michelle MacLaren) - Daniel Sauli and Sepideh Moafi have both signed onto the drama pilot, which chronicles the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York's Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s. The former will play Tommy Longo, "a mafia debt collector who has business with the Martino brothers (James Franco)"; while Moafi is set as Loretta, "a streetwalker who works for pimp Larry Brown and introduces Candy (Maggie Gyllenhaal) to a new side of the sex trade." (Deadline.com)

DIVINE MONSTER, THE (FOX, New!) - Writer Silvio Horta and director Brett Ratner are looking to import the Belgian drama, which "chronicles the fall of the wealthy Vega family of Miami, whose real estate empire is built upon decades of greed, corruption, generally bad behavior and an alarming number of curious deaths." Said effort is set up at Warner Bros. Television with said duo executive producing via their respective companies, Silent H Productions and RatPac Television. (Deadline.com)

I LOVE LAKSHMI (NBC, New!) - Muffy Bolding and Doug Prochilo have sold a multi-camera family comedy to the Peacock about "the trials and tribulations of new parents, Danny and Lakshmi, as they endure Lakshmi's own meddlesome immigrant parents - whose version of the American dream never included a Danny." The project is inspired by the latter's real-life experience marrying into an Indian family. Aggregate Films' Jason Bateman will also presumably executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)

PLUS ONE (ABC, New!) - Valentina Garza has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet "told from the point of view of three millennial siblings who find their places in the family upended when they discover they have a fourth sibling who is everything they are - and more." America Ferrera and Gabrielle Neimand also serve as executive producers on the project via their ABC Studios-based Take Fountain Productions. (THR.com)

SOCIAL CREATURES (ABC Family, New!) - Writer/director Ryan Piers Williams has sold a new drama to the cable channel which "follows the explicit lives of six young friends living in New York City who are trying to create meaningful relationships in the hyper-digital age." ABC Studios-based Take Fountain Productions is behind the hour with the company's America Ferrera and Gabrielle Neimand executive producing alongside Williams and Yellow Brick Road's Teri Weinberg. (THR.com)

WEIRD LIKE US (FOX, New!) - Max Werner ("The Colbert Report") has booked a new single-camera comedy at the network about "a pair of biodiesel-driving, backyard beekeeping, counterculture rebels who face a family crisis when their own children rebel - by going mainstream." Pacific Electric Picture Co.'s Ed Helms and Mike Falbo are also on board to executive produce for Universal Television. (THR.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - TBS has pulled the plug on "Clipped" after one season (@ashleytisdale); ABC has rolled back its commitment to freshman drama "Blood & Oil" from 13 to 10 episodes (Deadline.com); NBC has likewise trimmed newcomer "The Player" from 13 to nine episodes (Deadline.com); CBS has asked for six backup scripts from "Code Black" (Deadline.com); Jean-Marc Vallee is in talks to direct the opening installment of HBO's limited series "Big Little Lies" (Deadline.com); Jessie Mueller will recur on ABC's "The Family" as Fran, "a cherubic and sweet bakeshop employee who meets Hank (Andrew McCarthy)" (Deadline.com); Darius McCrary is bound for "Minority Report" as Aman Shale, "a tall, dashing African man with the Department of Homeland Security" (Deadline.com); and Joe Manganiello will drop by "Mom" as "a newcomer to Alcoholics Anonymous who Christy (Anna Faris) takes under her wing" (EW.com).
