BIG LITTLE LIES (HBO; W: David E. Kelley; D: Jean-Marc Vallee) - Zoe Kravitz has signed onto the limited series, based on Liane Moriarty's book of the same name about three mothers - Celeste (Nicole Kidman), Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) and Jane (Shailene Woodley) - of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. She'll play Bonnie Carlson "who is married to Madeline's ex-husband. Bonnie is a spiritual yoga instructor, a sensitive soul with a strong moral compass." Adam Scott and Laura Dern also star. BOB'S YOUR UNCLE (CBS, New!) - John Cochran ("The Millers") has sold a new multi-camera comedy to the Eye about "a hot shot lawyer who takes his socially awkward nephew under his wing and becomes his guide both in and out of the office." Greg Garcia is executive producing the half-hour via his CBS Television Studios-based Amigos de Garcia banner with Cochran and Alix Jaffe serving as a co-executive producers. (Deadline.com)


IMAGINARY FRIEND (NBC/Universal; W: Kassia Miller; D: Paul Briganti) - Alex Newell, Brandon Scott and Megan Neuringer have all been cast in the single-camera comedy pilot, about Wendy, an intelligent yet unmotivated woman who discovers a special and unexpected way of dealing with her mediocre life. Neuringer is set as said woman with Newell as her imaginary friend and Scott as Brian, "the IT guy at the company where Wendy works and her potential love interest." Said effort is set up at the Universal Television-based Hazy Mills Productions with Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner executive producing and Paul Briganti directing. (THR.com, Variety.com)


JUAREZ GENERAL (FOX, New!) - Tom Fontana has set up a new drama at the network "described as an unconventional medical franchise about a hospital in the border town of Juarez, Mexico, the deadliest city in the world and ground zero for the drug war." Josh Davis and Joshuah Bearman of Epic magazine; Barry Levinson of The Levinson/Fontana Company; and Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of the 20th Century Fox Television-based Temple Hill Entertainment also serve as executive producers. A penalty is attached. (Deadline.com)


RECRUITERS, THE (HBO, New!) - Writer/director K'naan Warsame has sold a drama to the pay channel, which "will draw open an iron curtain behind which viewers will see the highly impenetrable world of Jihadi recruitment." Kathryn Bigelow and Carolyn Strauss are also attached to executive produce the project, set in Minnesota. No other details were given. (THR.com)


UNTITLED FATIMA ROBINSON PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Neil Meron and Craig Zadan ("The Wiz Live!") are back in business with the Peacock for a drama "set in Los Angeles with early plans to set it in the 1990s, as dance begins to dominate pop culture on the streets and clubs that gave birth to hip-hop dance." The project is inspired by the life of the live musical's choreographer, Fatima Robinson. Storyline Entertainment's Mark Nicholson and Tasha Brown will also executive produce for Universal Television. The search is underway for a writer. (THR.com)


UNTITLED RICHARD LAGRAVENESE PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Richard LaGravenese has booked a potential drama at the network "set in the competitive world of dance that highlights how dancers must work, fight and create to achieve their dreams." Julianne Hough also serves as an executive producer on the hour, which has a penalty attached. Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen's 20th Century Fox Television-based Temple Hill Entertainment is producing. US & HIM (NBC, New!) - Jake Wilson and Sas Goldberg (Are You Joking?) have set up a semi-autobiographical comedy at the Peacock about "two co-dependent best friends who must come to terms with change brought on by marriage and family starting to get in the way of their relationship." Sony Pictures Television-based Olive Bridge Entertainment is behind the half-hour with the company's Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz likewise executive producing. (THR.com)
