CHASERS (CBS, New!) - Lorenzo Carcaterra's bestselling novel - about "a renegade vigilante law enforcement unit made up of "broken badge" ex-cops - those forced into early retirement - who unite to bring down the most vicious criminals in New York City" - is being developed as a drama at the Eye. ROOKIE, THE (ABC, New!) - Nathan Fillion ("Castle") is returning to the Alphabet as part of a new drama about John Nolan, "the oldest rookie in the LAPD. At an age where most are at the peak of their career, Nolan cast aside his comfortable, small town life and moved to L.A. to pursue his dream of being a cop. Now, surrounded by rookies twenty years his junior, Nolan must navigate the dangerous, humorous and unpredictable world of a "young" cop, determined to make his second shot at life count." Alexi Hawley is penning behind the hour, which is set up at The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios. The Alphabet reportedly has made a straight-to-series order for the project. Hawley, Fillion, Mark Gordon, Nicholas Pepper, Michelle Chapman and Jon Steinberg are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
SEBASTIAN WAKES UP (Pop, New!) - Sebastian Conelli is set to topline an "offbeat, semi-improv comedy" pilot for the network, "described as a blend of improv and hidden-camera prank formats."
