100, THE (The CW) - Executive producer Jason Rothenberg has signed a new multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The pact will cover his duties on the series as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)
BIG BANG THEORY, THE (CBS) - Co-star Kaley Cuoco has inked a multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The pact gives the studio the exclusive rights to any output from her newly launched Yes, Norman Productions. Already in the works: "The Flight Attendant," a limited series based on Chris Bohjalian's upcoming novel, which she is slated to star in and executive produce. (Deadline.com)
EXPANSE, THE (Syfy) - Nadine Nicole has booked a recurring role on the upcoming season as "a lowly electrochemical tech on a ship that is fierce, intelligent, and driven, but driven by a hidden agenda and a dark secret." (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Bethany Joy Lenz is bound for the current season as Jenny, a yet-to-be-detailed role. (THR.com)
LOCAL COUNSEL (NBC, New!) - Bill Chais ("Franklin & Bash") has set up a potential drama at the Peacock about "a powerful female New York lawyer who is sent to New Orleans to handle a case. A misadventure results in her losing everything - job, reputation and fiancé - and she soon finds herself in an unlikely partnership with a mess of a newbie female lawyer as they form a law firm dedicated to fighting for those who need it most." Martin Chase Productions' Debra Martin Chase will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
MAKE DIVYA GREAT AGAIN (The CW, New!) - Devanshi Patel ("Black-ish") has set up a potential dramedy at the netlet about "an Indian-American woman, who under tremendous pressure from her traditional parents, bails on her arranged marriage and invents a perfect Indian boyfriend. She then sets in motion an absurd and poignant series of events that derail her life, all while she is trying to clear her name in the darkly comic accidental death of her ex-fiance." CBS Television Studios-based The Tannenbaum Co. is behind the hour with Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Patti Carr and Alex Hertzberg also executive producing. Patel will be a co-executive producer. MAN OF THE HOUSE (ABC, New!) - Frank Pines ("Baby Daddy") has booked a hybrid multi-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "a teenage star quarterback who finds himself unexpectedly the only male in a house full of females when his recently-divorced mother moves in with her recently-divorced sister and their daughters." The Jackal Group's Gail Berman and Joe Earley and Simpson Street's Kerry Washington will also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
MIXTAPE (FOX, New!) - Josh Safran ("Quantico") has sold a new drama to the network that "looks at a disparate group of interconnected people in contemporary Los Angeles through the lens of the music that defines who they are." 20th Century Fox Television and Annapurna Television are behind the project, which has a penalty attached, with Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle also set to executive produce. SIMONE BILES STORY, THE (Lifetime) - Newcomer Jeanté Godlock will star in the biopic of the Olympic champion with Julius Tennon and Tisha Campbell-Martin as her parents, Ron and Nellie Biles (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JOSH SAFRAN PROJECT (AMC, New!) - Josh Safran ("Quantico") has likewise sold a potential drama to the cable channel "considered a new take on a ghost story that looks at a lifelong haunting of a woman and the man who loves her." No other auspices were given. (THR.com)
UNTITLED MORGAN MURPHY PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Morgan Murphy ("2 Broke Girls") has sold a multi-camera comedy to the network "set in the world's most colorful bar in Mexico. When a man moves back to his hometown and opens his dream business, he is dismayed when his rudderless adult son follows him and he realizes his parenting days aren't over." ABC Studios and 20th Century Fox Television are behind the project, which has a penalty attached. Lee Eisenberg and 3 Arts Entertainment's Michael Rotenberg and Avi Gilbert will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED TAYLOR TOMLINSON PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Comedian Taylor Tomlinson is set to star in a multi-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "a modern young woman (Tomlinson) as she attempts to stay close to her very religious parents while trying to figure out how she wants to live her own life - which might involve touching someone else's body, no matter what they told her at Bible Camp - all while acting as a surrogate mother to her new roommates - her two younger sisters." Tomlinson will also co-write the half-hour alongside Becky Mann and Audra Sielaff with Casey Johnson, David Windsor and Judi Marmel also executive producing for ABC Studios. Tomlinson will serve as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
