BAD SEED, THE (Lifetime) - McKenna Grace (I, Tonya) has scored the title role in Rob Lowe's reimagining of the 1956 film, about a single father (Lowe) confronted with the fact his daughter Emma (Grace) is a relentless, murdering sociopath whose viciousness is matched only by her brilliance. Patty McCormack, who played said role in the film, will appear as the psychiatrist who treats Emma. (Deadline.com)
BELLEVUE (NBC) - Actor Tyler Labine and director Kate Dennis are the latest additions to the drama pilot, about the new enigmatic medical director hired to disrupt and tame this mighty Manhattan institution, all while facing his own battle with cancer. Labine will play Dr. Iggy Frome, "an attending child psychiatrist at the hospital, who likes to think outside the box, but has been continually beat down by the system." Dennis then succeeds executive producer Peter Horton, who was originally eyed to direct. (Deadline.com)
CHEMISTRY (Showtime, New!) - David Manson is looking to import Paula Milne's BBC mini-series "The Politician's Husband," billed as "a psycho-sexual marital thriller set in the high stakes world of biotech, focusing on alpha spouses at the head of an emerging firm on the cusp of a life altering discovery." Manson and Milne will executive produce the TriStar TV-based project alongside Anonymous Content's Nicole Clemens and Jeff Okin as well as Daybreak Pictures/Passion Distribution's David Aukin and Hal Vogel. David Tennant and Emily Watson starred in the original. (Deadline.com)

END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT, THE (The CW) - Quinta Brunson is set to star opposite Gage Golightly in the high concept drama pilot, in which when a prison spaceship carrying the universe's most deadly aliens crashes in Southern California, two young women with bigger dreams than working at a kids' pizza place in The Valley are recruited by a space cop to hunt down the escaped criminals, who have camouflaged themselves as eccentric Angelenos. She'll play Ruby, "a hyper-intelligent, upbeat graduate from MIT, hasn't been able to hold down an engineering job due to her interests shifting a mile a minute. Therefore, she currently works at her parents' business, a birthday party place/pizza restaurant for kids. But with the arrival of a crashed spaceship, Ruby may have finally found her mission." (Deadline.com)
INFAMY (FOX) - Russell Hornsby ("Grimm") is set to star in the drama pilot as Ezekiel "Easy" Boudreau, "a savvy, pragmatic and cool attorney who works at the wrongful conviction firm." (Deadline.com)
MAIN JUSTICE (CBS) - Actor Timothy Hutton, director David Semel and showrunner Sunil Nayar have all signed onto the Bokeem Woodbine-led legal drama pilot, inspired by the life of former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. Hutton will play Deputy Attorney General Thomas Yarrow, "a man whose ego is only matched by the money he spends on his wardrobe. Yarrow was the interim Attorney General prior to Miles' (Woodbine) appointment, and is immediately critical of the new Attorney General's decisions." Semel then will helm from a script by Sascha Penn as well as executive produce. (Deadline.com)
MILLION LITTLE THINGS, A (ABC) - Anne Son is the latest addition to the ensemble drama pilot as Katherine, "who was once the fun one in the group but now is the mom to a son she loves while juggling being the parent she wants to be with her very successful law career." (Deadline.com)

SO CLOSE (NBC) - Sasheer Zamata ("Saturday Night Live") and Sean Kleier ("Odd Mom Out") have scored the lead roles on the multi-camera comedy pilot, about hopeless romantics Riley and Kyle, who are close to settling for the wrong partner, unaware that they live only blocks apart and may be each other's soul mates. Additionally, Gail Mancuso is slated to direct from a script by creator Greg Malins. (Deadline.com)
SPENCER (The CW) - Rob Hardy has been tapped to direct the drama pilot, inspired by the life of pro football player Spencer Paysinger, in which when a rising high school football player from South Central L.A. is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High, the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds - Compton and Beverly Hills - begin to collide. (Variety.com)
TRUE DETECTIVE (HBO) - Brandon Flynn and Michael Graziadei are the latest names bound for the show's third season. They'll play Ryan Peters and Dan O'Brien, respectively, two unspecified characters. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BEN WINSTON PROJECT (CBS) - Damon Wayans, Jr. ("New Girl") has booked the male lead on the multi-camera comedy pilot, about a young married couple whose lives are completely upended when a young musician moves into their spare bedroom and brings with him the complications of being an up-and-coming mega pop star - sometimes even the paparazzi. He'll play Peter, "a good guy with a sense of humor, happily married to his dream wife, Claire. He is an accountant and business manager for Cooper, the young superstar musician who comes to live with them." Said pact includes a two-year first-look producing deal with CBS TV Studios for the actor should it go to series. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED CLINE & ROYCE PROJECT (TBS, New!) - Mike Royce and Alex Cline are developing a new animated comedy for the cable channel. The project is set up at Will Arnett's Sony Pictures Television-based Electric Avenue banner, which recently renewed its overall deal with the studio. VILLAGE, THE (NBC) - Grace Van Dien has scored a lead role on the drama pilot as Katie, "the independent, smart, latch-key kid of a single mother who adores her but has to work hard to make ends meet. A burgeoning artist and activist, Katie's recent attempts to "find herself" are seen as unnecessary rebellion by her mother and have caused friction of late." Moran Atias, Michaela McManus, Jerod Haynes and Frankie Faison also star. (Deadline.com)
YOUNGER (TV Land) - Charles Michael Davis, who plays Zane Anders, has been promoted to series regular for the show's fifth season. (TVLine.com)
