BEAST MODE (TNT) - Chanté Adams has been cast in the Anika Noni Rose-led drama pilot, which is inspired by the life of legendary boxing trainer Ann Wolfe. She'll play Jackie, "Marsha's (Rose) older daughter. She's a tough, emotionally-driven boxer like her mom." (Deadline.com)
EXIT PLANS (HBO, New!) - Timothy Simons ("Veep") is attached to star in a potential comedy at the pay channel in which "when assisted suicide is legalized in 2019, a man from California opens a small business helping people transition into death peacefully while struggling to keep ahold of his crumbling personal life. In short, he's trying to figure out his life while ending yours." Simons is also penning the half-hour and will executive produce alongside Field Trip Productions' Will Graham. (Deadline.com)
GRAND HOTEL (ABC) - Ken Kirby is the latest to book a recurring role on the midseason drama as Byron, "a savvy business tycoon with investments across the globe. He and his family have been looking for a stake in the Miami real-estate business." (Deadline.com)
MOM (CBS) - Warner Bros. Television is in early discussions with co-stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney to return for a seventh season. It's understood Faris and Janney currently earn $200,000 an episode and are seeking significant salary increases. (Deadline.com)
QUEER AS FOLK (Bravo, New!) - Writer/director Stephen Dunn is spearheading a reboot of Russell T. Davies's British series-turned-Showtime staple, "that centers on a group of club-going friends who find support in the gay community following a tragedy." Universal Cable Productions and Digital Rights Group are behind the project with Dunn, Davies, Red Productions' Nicola Shindler and Quantity Entertainment's Lee Eisenberg executive producing and Emily Brecht as a co-executive producer. WHISKEY CAVALIER (ABC) - Dylan Walsh is set to recur on the midseason drama after guest starring in the pilot as Alex Ollerman, "Will Chase's (Scott Foley) boss at the FBI who has a secret agenda and a shocking endgame." (Deadline.com)
