BARKSKINS (NGC) - Christian Cooke and James Bloor are both bound for the upcoming drama, which "chronicles the deforestation of the New World from the arrival of Europeans into the contemporary era of global warming through the stories of two immigrants to New France, René Sel (Cooke) and Charles Duquet (Bloor), who work as wood-cutters - barkskins - and of their descendants." (Deadline.com)
HOMELAND (Showtime) - Executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa have signed a four-year, mid-eight figure overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. Said duo will develop new series projects for the studio, ending their run at 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)

NINTH STREET WOMEN (Amazon, New!) - Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino are looking to bring Mary Gabriel's novel to the small screen at the streaming service. The project is "set amid the most turbulent social and political period of modern times and chronicles five women - Lee Krasner, Elaine de Kooning, Grace Hartigan, Joan Mitchell and Helen Frankenthaler - who dared to enter the male-dominated world of 20th century abstract painting as artists (and not muses)." Gabriel will also serve as a consulting producer on the potential series. (THR.com)
P-VALLEY (Starz) - Isaiah Washington will recur on the upcoming strip club drama as Mayor Tydell Ruffin: "The newly elected mayor of Chucalissa City is a true man of the people. Born onto hard-scrabble streets, Ruffin is a relatable and crass no-f***s-given bawse. He's determined to make good on his campaign promise of a Chucalissa renaissance by any means necessary." (Deadline.com)
RYAN'S MYSTERY PLAYDATE (Nickelodeon) - The cable channel has quietly ordered a 20-episode second season for the just-launched series. (Deadline.com)
STARGIRL (DC Universe) - Executive producer Melissa Carter has signed a new multi-year overall deal with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. The pact calls for her to develop new series projects for the studio. (Deadline.com)
STATION 19 (ABC) - Stacy McKee is bowing out of the series as showrunner. The news comes as her overall deal with producer ABC Studios expires as she "is ready to move on in a new direction after spending 15 years within Shondaland." (THR.com)
UNTITLED GAME OF THRONES SPIN-OFF PROJECTS (HBO) - Writer Bryan Cogman has confirmed his potential spin-off series, one of five being explored by HBO (Max Borenstein, Jane Goldman, Brian Helgeland and Carly Wray are behind the others), will not be moving forward. "This is it for me in terms of Westeros," he told the publication. "It's been a beautifully cathartic thing re-watching the series recently, it's been ten years of my life." Cogman signed an overall deal with Amazon last year. (Variety.com)
WU-TANG: AN AMERICAN SAGA (Hulu) - Ebony Obsidian is the latest set to recur on the docudrama as Nia, "Divine's girlfriend who turned a blind eye to his drug dealing. But his recent encounters may be the thing that pushes her and their relationship past the breaking point." (Deadline.com)
