(Variety.com)
REASONABLE DOUBT (Hulu) - Victor Rasuk, Christopher Cassarino, Brooke Lyons and Eugene Byrd are slated to recur on the Onyx Collective series. Rasuk plays Mike Llanas, "an overzealous D.A., a man who lives and dies for his work; he and Jax went to law school together and have a history as rivals"; with Cassarino as Rich, "an attorney at the same firm where Jax works, dealing mostly with contracts and litigation; he clashes with Jax during a huge case during the season"; Lyons as Sarah, "the wife of multi-millionaire Braydon Mitchell. SOBER COMPANION (CBS) - Krysta Rodriguez and Lauren Lapkus have been tapped to star in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about Eliza (Rodriguez), "a hot-mess alcoholic, owns a bar with her uncle in New Orleans, is forced to get her life together when the court appoints her an exhaustingly upbeat sober companion, Shelley (Lapkus), with whom she has to live 24/7." Rodriguez's Eliza is further detailed as "a fun-loving, quick-witted alcoholic who runs a bookstore/bar with her uncle in New Orleans. After one too many run-ins with the law, she is assigned a court-appointed Sober Companion, Shelley (Lapkus), who will force her to confront her demons, get her act together, and stay sober... all while driving her completely nuts." And Lapkus's Shelley is "a joyful, high-spirited oddball. Her methods are a bit unconventional, and her relentless enthusiasm isn't everybody's cup of tea, but she's the best at what she does."
