CBS CLOSES 2006 WITH ITS 15TH STRAIGHT WIN IN VIEWERS

CBS Has the Top 6 Scripted Programs in a Repeat-Laden Holiday Week

CBS streaked to its 15th consecutive win in viewers in a repeat-laden holiday week that included Christmas Eve and New Year's Day, according to live plus same day Nielsen ratings for the week ending Dec. 31, week 15 of the 2006-2007 television season.

CBS had the week's top six scripted programs: CSI (2), NCIS (4), CSI: NY (7), CRIMINAL MINDS (8), CRIMINAL MINDS THURSDAY SPECIAL (10) and SHARK (11). THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS also placed in the top 10 in viewers (9).

For the week in viewers, CBS (8.48m) beat NBC (7.67m), FOX (6.78m) and ABC (6.45m). Season-to-date in viewers, CBS (12.32m) leads followed by ABC (10.53m), NBC (9.93m) and FOX (7.86m).

For the week in households, CBS (5.5/10) had a +17% advantage over NBC (4.7/08), +31% over FOX (4.2/07) and +38% over ABC (4.0/07). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (7.9/13), ahead of ABC by +16% (6.8/11), NBC by +23% (6.4/10) and FOX by +58% (5.0/08).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for second in adults 25-54 (2.8/07, with FOX). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and tied with ABC for first in adults 18-49.

? NCIS (R) was first in households (7.2/12), viewers (11.92m), adults 25-54 (3.7/10) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.8/08, with FOX).

? THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS (S) was first in households (6.4/11), viewers (10.00m), second in adults 25-54 (2.5/06) and adults 18-49 (1.9/05).

? CRIMINAL MINDS (R) was first in households (6.5/11), viewers (10.17m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09), adults 18-49 (2.8/08) and adults 18-34 (1.8/06).

? CSI: NY (R) was first in households (6.9/12), viewers (10.68m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, -0.1 behind ABC's first run "Primetime Live").

? CRIMINAL MINDS THURSDAY SPECIAL (R) (S) won its time slot in households (6.4/11), viewers (9.86m) and adults 25-54 (3.1/08).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) (9:00-10:01 PM) won its 9PM time period in households (8.9/15), viewers (14.03m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11).

? SHARK (R) (10:01-11:00PM) was first in households (6.5/11), viewers (9.75m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07). This is SHARK's fourth consecutive household and viewers win, third consecutive adults 25-54 win and second straight adults 18-49 first place finish.
