WEEK No. 9:

ABC stood as the No. 1 network during Thanksgiving week (w/o 11/19/07) among Adults 18-49 (3.6/10), beating the second-place networks by 9% (3.3/9 NBC and CBS tied) and fourth-place Fox by 44% (2.5/7). ABC has delivered the No. 1 network position in Adults 18-49 on 6 of the 9 weeks so far this season. The Network marked its 9th consecutive week this season as the No. 1 across the key women demographics: W18-34 (3.4/10), W18-49 (4.5/12) and W25-54 (5.4/13).

Through 25 of 28 nights of the 2007 November Sweep (through Sunday 11/25/07), ABC leads the ratings period among Adults 18-49 (3.6/10). The Network is poised to deliver its 3rd straight November as the No. 1 network in the key sales demographic.

Rankings: ABC aired 9 of the Top 20 television shows in Adults 18-49, more than any other net: "Desperate Housewives No. 2, "Dancing with the Stars-MON No. 4, "Grey's Anatomy SP-11/22" No. 5, "DWTS the Results-TU and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition tied at No. 7, "Brothers & Sisters No. 12, "Samantha Who? No. 14, "The Bachelor No. 15 and "Bachelor: After the Final Rose No. 18. ABC's "Samantha Who? represented the No. 1 rookie show during the week in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year to year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating trends based on the Live + Same Day data stream may be somewhat distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has more than doubled from 10% during the same point in 2006 up to 21% currently. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. Therefore, the only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.

Monday

With the Net's lineup of "Dancing with the Stars, "Samantha Who? and Fall season finale "The Bachelor, ABC stood as Monday's most-watched TV network for the ninth time in nine weeks this season, beating second-place CBS by 5.6 million viewers (17.7 million vs. 12.1 million) and garnering its largest margin of victory over the second-ranked network this season.
