'LAS VEGAS' WINS ITS FRIDAY SLOT IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS, ROLLING ITS HIGHEST DEMO NUMBERS SINCE OCTOBER

BURBANK, Calif. � February 12, 2008 � Strong performances throughout the week from such unscripted series as "American Gladiators," "The Celebrity Apprentice" and "Deal or No Deal" combined with solid showings from the scripted dramas "Law & Order," "Las Vegas" and the debut of "Lipstick Jungle" to lead NBC to an average 2.5 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers overall for the week of February 4-10, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. .

"American Gladiators" and "Deal or No Deal" delivered a one-two punch Monday night, propelling NBC to its fourth consecutive Monday win in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49. Monday's "Deal" and "Gladiators" were NBC's top-ranked shows of the week in adults 18-49, while "Deal" was also NBC's "most-watched" show of the week in total viewers.

On Thursday, "The Celebrity Apprentice" surged week-to-week in the 9 p.m. hour, while the debut of "Lipstick Jungle" at 10 p.m. pulled off a time-period win in key adult-female demos, including women 18-49, despite significant lead-in advantages for the competing ABC drama "Eli Stone."

And on Friday, both "1 vs 100" and "Las Vegas" won their slots in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. For "1 vs 100," it was the third week in a row the show has won its time period in both 18-49 and overall total viewers.

Through 20 weeks of the 2007-08 season, Fox is leading in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, with NBC and ABC tied for second place. Season-to-date averages in adults 18-49 for the period September 24, 2007 through February 10, 2008 are Fox (4.2/11) NBC and ABC (3.2/8), CBS (3.1/8), Univision (1.5/4), CW (1.1/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1).

Through the first 20 weeks of the 2007-08 season, NBC is the only network to have grown younger in primetime. NBC's median age has moved to 46.8 years this season from 47.5 years at this point last season. In this same comparison, ABC's median age has increased by 2.0 years (to 48.8 from 46.8), CBS's median age has increased to 52.8 years old from 51.5 and Fox's audience has aged to 43.9 from 43.3 years old.

Primetime averages for the week of February 4-10 in adults 18-49 were Fox (4.7/12), ABC and CBS (2.8/7), NBC (2.5/6), Univision (1.6/4), CW (0.9/2) and Telemundo (0.5/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were Fox (12.4 million), CBS (9.6 million), ABC (8.2 million), NBC (7.6 million), Univision (3.6 million), CW (2.3 million) and Telemundo (1.1 million).

NBC highlights for the week of February 4-10:

* On Monday, a 90-minute "American Gladiators" ranked #1 in adults 18-49 and other key measures opposite such first-run competition as Fox's "Prison Break" and the first half of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," ABC's "Dance Wars" and the premiere of CBS's "Welcome to the Captain." "Gladiators" was the #1 show of the night on any network in adults 18-34 and men 18-34.

* Also on Monday, a 90-minute "Deal or No Deal" was the #1 show of the night on any network in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Deal" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since the opening night of the season and hit a season high for the slot in total viewers.

* NBC won its fourth consecutive Monday night in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49.

* On Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser" was the top-rated alternative to Fox's "Idol"-"House" lineup, with "Loser" topping the ABC-CBS competition combined over the two hours. "Loser" grew by 44 percent in 18-49 and 31 percent in total viewers from its first half-hour to its fourth.

* Also on Tuesday, NBC News' live coverage of the Super Tuesday primaries was the top-rated news coverage of the night on any broadcast network in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

* NBC ranked #2 on Tuesday in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, as it has each Tuesday night since the return of "American Idol" on January 15. NBC has ranked either #1 or #2 in adults 18-49 on Tuesday night for the last 10 weeks (five weeks as #1, including one tie, and five weeks as #2).

* On Wednesday, "Law & Order" ranked #1 in the time period in adults 18-49 and 25-54, tied with "CSI: NY." "Law & Order" won the hour outright among women 18-49, topping both "CSI: NY" and ABC's "Cashmere Mafia" in that key adult-female demographic.

* On Thursday, "The Celebrity Apprentice" was up 18 percent in 18-49 and 26 percent in total viewers versus the prior week in the 9 p.m. ET hour. "Celebrity Apprentice" continues to pace well ahead of the most recent cycle in the "Apprentice" franchise, with Thursday's episode, the sixth of the current cycle, topping the sixth episode of "Apprentice 6" by 43 percent in 18-49 rating and by 44 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Thursday, the debut of "Lipstick Jungle" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 among women 18-34 and women 18-49. "Lipstick Jungle" won these key adult-female demos despite significant lead-in advantages for the competing ABC drama, "Eli Stone." For instance, "Lipstick Jungle" built on its lead-in among women 18-34 by 27 percent while "Eli Stone" dropped by 54 percent in that demo versus its lead-in from "Lost."

* On Friday, "1 vs 100" ranked #1 in its time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. This marks the third week in a row that "1 vs 100" has won its slot in both 18-49 and total viewers.

* Also on Friday, "Las Vegas" won its slot in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Vegas" rolled its highest 18-49 numbers since October 26.

* On Sunday, the two-hour "100 Most Outrageous Moments of All Time" scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the slot in five weeks, building from its first half-hour to its fourth by 50 percent in 18-49 rating and by 48 percent, or more than 3.1 million persons, in total viewers. In its final hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "100 Most Outrageous Moments" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and other key demographics, trailing only the Grammy Awards on CBS and outperforming ABC's first-run telecast of "Brothers and Sisters."

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of February 4-10:

On Monday, Feb. 4, from 8-9:30 p.m. ET, "American Gladiators" (3.7 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 9.0 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in adults 18-49 and other key measures versus such first-run competition as Fox's "Prison Break" and the first half of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," ABC's "Dance War" and CBS's premiere of "Welcome to the Captain." From its first half-hour to its third, "American Gladiators" grew by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.9/9 from a 3.3/9) and by 17 percent, or more than 1.3 million persons, in total viewers (to 9.4 million from 7.9 million).

"American Gladiators" was the #1 primetime telecast on any broadcast network Monday among adults 18-34 and men 18-34.

Monday from 9:30-11 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (4.4/11 in 18-49, 13.2 million viewers overall) delivered the highest ratings of the night of any program on any network in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Deal" ranked #1 in its time period in adults 18-49, 18-34, 25-54, total viewers and other key categories.

From its first half-hour to its third, "Deal" increased by 34 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 5.1/14 from a 3.8/9) and its overall viewership by 26 percent, or 3.0 million persons (to 14.6 million from 11.6 million).

"Deal or No Deal" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since the opening night of the season (September 24, 2007) and delivered a season-high for the slot in total viewers.

NBC won its fourth consecutive Monday night in adults 18-49.

Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser 5" (3.0/7 share in adults 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall) was the top-rated alternative to Fox's "Idol"-"House" lineup, with "Loser" topping the combined ABC-CBS competition in adults 18-49 over the two hours. Versus NBC's results against "Idol" in the 8-9 p.m. hour on the same night last year, "Biggest Loser" was up 24 percent in 18-49 (2.6 vs. a 2.1 for an original "Dateline" on February 6, 2007).

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Biggest Loser" gained 44 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.6/8 from a 2.5/6) and 31 percent, or more than 2.0 million persons, in total viewers (to 8.7 million from 6.6 million).

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, NBC News' coverage of the Super Tuesday primaries averaged a 1.8/5 in 18-49, a 2.1/5 in 25-54 and 5.2 million viewers overall, making it the top-rated network news coverage of the night by all three measures.

NBC ranked #2 on Tuesday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, behind only Fox.

On Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore "Deal or No Deal" averaged a 1.8/5 in 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers overall. From its first to its second half-hour, "Deal" increased by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0/5 from a 1.6/4) and by 20 percent, or more than 1.4 million persons, in total viewers (to 8.6 million from 7.1 million).

At 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 2.2/5 in 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers overall.

At 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order" (2.9/8 in 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period in adults 18-49 and 25-54, tied with "CSI: NY." "Law & Order" won the hour outright among women 18-49 (3.6/9), topping both "CSI: NY" (3.3/8) and ABC's "Cashmere Mafia" (2.9/7) in that key demographic.

On Thursday, Feb. 7 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 9.3 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among men 18-49 and adults, men and women 25-54.

Thursday from 9-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Celebrity Apprentice" (3.3/8 in adults 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall) was up 18 percent in 18-49 rating and 26 percent in total viewers versus its results in the 9 p.m. hour one week earlier. The February 7 "Celebrity Apprentice" ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult male demographics, trailing only ABC's first-run "Lost."

"Celebrity Apprentice" continues to pace solidly ahead of the most recent cycle in the "Apprentice" franchise, with Thursday's episode, the sixth of the current cycle, topping the sixth episode of "Apprentice 6" by 43 percent in 18-49 rating (3.3 vs. a 2.3 on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007) and by 44 percent, or more than 2.6 million persons in total viewers (8.7 million vs. 6.0 million).

Thursday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, the premiere of "Lipstick Jungle" (2.9/8 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and #1 among women 18-34 and women 18-49. "Lipstick Jungle" won these key adult-female demos despite significant lead-in advantages for the competing ABC drama, "Eli Stone." For instance, "Lipstick Jungle" built on its lead-in among women 18-34 by 27 percent (to a 3.3 from a 2.6), while "Eli Stone" dropped by 54 percent in that demo versus its lead-in from "Lost" (from a 6.8 for "Lost" to a 3.1 for "Eli Stone").

On Friday, February 8 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "1 vs 100" (1.9/6 in adults 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. This marks the third week in a row that "1 vs 100" has won its slot in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Friday at 9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and other key measures.

Friday at 10 p.m. ET, "Las Vegas" (2.2/7 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers) ranked #1 in adults 18-49, rolling its highest 18-49 rating since October 26, 2007. "Las Vegas" also won the hour in total viewers, with its biggest audience since November 2. "Vegas" also won its slot in adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 5.0 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "CI" increased its 18-49 rating by 33 percent (to a 1.2/4 from an 0.9/3).

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall) locked up NBC's highest non-sports 18-49 rating in the slot since November 24, 2007. At 10 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Law & Order" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall) captured NBC's biggest overall viewership of the season in this time period, excluding sports.

On Sunday, February 10 from 7-8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "American Gladiators" averaged a 1.3/4 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall, and from 8-9 p.m., a second "American Gladiators" rebroadcast delivered a 1.5/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. Together, these two hours of "American Gladiators" encores delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the two-hour time period in five weeks.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m., "100 Most Outrageous Moments of All Time" (2.8/6 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the slot in five weeks. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "100 Most Outrageous Moments" increased by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.3/9 from a 2.2/5) and by 48 percent, or more than 3.1 million persons, in total viewers (to 9.8 million from 6.6 million). In its final hour, from 10-11 p.m., "100 Most Outrageous Moments" ranked #2 in adults 18-49, 18-34, 25-54 and other key demographics, trailing only the Grammy Awards on CBS and outperforming ABC's first-run telecast of "Brothers and Sisters."
