CBS.COM REPORTS RECORD VIDEO TRAFFIC AND USER ENGAGEMENT FOR APRIL

CBS.com Maintains Top Position in comScore Entertainment Television Category for the Fourth Consecutive Month; Leads All Broadcast Networks Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, June 4 - CBS.com today reported that the site experienced record video, traffic and users in April with 31.3 million unique viewers, 163.3 million video streams and 657 million minutes, according to comScore Video Metrix (April 2009). CBS.com continues to lead the broadcast networks and maintains the number one position in comScore's Entertainment TV category for the fourth consecutive month. The site also reported triple-digit increases year-over-year across the board, including a 455% increase in unique viewers, a 261% increase in streams, and a 367% increase in total minutes.

CBS.com's leadership position among its network peers mirrors the success at CBS Television, which recently finished the 2008/09 season as the most-watched network in prime time, as well as the only broadcast network to increase its audience in all key ratings categories.

During the month of April, viewers turned to CBS.com for information around hit shows like CSI, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and NCIS, and special events like the 44TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS show, which was a record day for CBS.com visits. TV fans also turned to CBS.com for extended content, such as games and webisodes, around popular shows like THE AMAZING RACE ELIMINATION STATION and SURVIVOR PONDEROSA. There was a growing interest in daytime shows like THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, as well as the ever-popular late night shows LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN and CRAIG FERGUSON. CBS.com's growth is also driven by the success of its open, multi-partner syndication strategy, which includes more than 300 partner Web sites that stream CBS.com content through the CBS Audience Network.

"As the number one network both on-air and online, it's exciting to see our content attracting new viewers and highly engaged fans," said Bill Binenstock, Vice President, CBS.com. "CBS.com deepens the experience for fans who are already passionate about our shows and introduces new fans to the network's outstanding programming."

CBS.com recently launched its HD Gallery in an upgraded 1080p format (www.cbs.com/hd), providing users with the highest quality video available for CBS content online. The site also recently added Facebook Connect support, which lets users quickly and easily log into CBS.com using their already established Facebook account and publish their actions on CBS.com back to Facebook, enabling them to share their CBS.com experiences with their entire social network.

Driven by the growth of CBS.com and its other leading Web properties, CBS Interactive also announced today that it holds its position in the top 5 largest video properties for the second consecutive month in terms of video viewers with 37.1 million unique users, 202.8 million streams and 755 million minutes according to comScore Video Metrix.
