'TONIGHT' TOPS 'LATE SHOW' BY 20 PERCENT IN 18-49 VIEWERS AND 17 PERCENT IN TOTAL VIEWERS, REVERSING THE FINISHING ORDER FOR THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR

'LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY' IS UP VS. THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR BY 24 PERCENT IN 18-49 VIEWERS AND 33 PERCENT IN TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 29, 2010 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has delivered ratings victories for the week of November 15-19, winning its time period over all cable and broadcast entertainment competition in viewers 18-49 and total viewers. "Tonight" attracted bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" in all key ratings categories: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

"Tonight" generated its biggest margins so far this season over "Late Show," out-delivering the CBS broadcast by a 20 percent margin in 18-49 viewers (1.233 million vs. 1.028 million), which reverses the order for the same week last year, when "Late Show" led by 4 percent (1.305 million vs. 1.260 million). In total viewers, "Tonight" led "Late Show" for the week by a 17 percent margin (3.845 million vs. 3.299 million), reversing last year's verdict, when "Late Show" prevailed by 71 percent (3.983 million vs. 2.330 million).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" out-delivered CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in adult 18-49 viewers for a 38th straight week (excluding the week of delays for Wimbledon coverage) and attracted bigger audiences than "Late Late Show" in every key ratings category.

Through the first nine weeks of the 2010-11 season, "Tonight" is leading "Late Show" by 4 percent in adult 18-49 viewers (1.234 million vs. 1.182 million), reversing the order at this point one year ago, when "Late Show" held a 3 percent lead (1.368 million vs. 1.327 million). In total viewers, "Tonight" leads "Late Show" through nine weeks of the season by a 3 percent margin (3.719 million vs. 3.594 million), reversing the order of one year ago, when "Late Show" led by a 72 percent advantage (4.263 million vs. 2.473 million).

Through the first nine weeks of the 2010-11 season, Jimmy Fallon is leading "Late Late Show" by a 14 percent margin in adult 18-49 viewers (771,000 vs. 679,000), building on his lead of one year ago that stood at 0.1 percent (792,000 vs. 791,000). In total viewers, Jimmy has cut the year-ago "Late Late Show" lead down to 4 percent (1.768 million vs. 1.694 million) from its year-ago 42 percent (1.944 million vs. 1.373 million).

Versus the first nine weeks of last season, "Tonight" is running within 7 percent of its year-ago 18-49 viewership (1.234 million vs. 1.327 million), while "Late Show" is down 14 percent (1.182 million vs. 1.368 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is matching his year-ago 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 and running within 3 percent of last year in 18-49 viewers (771,000 vs. 792,000), while "Late Late Show" is down 14 percent (679,000 vs. 791,000).

In total viewers, "Tonight" is up 50 percent versus its average viewership for the first nine weeks of last season (3.719 million vs. 2.473 million), while "Late Show" is down 16 percent (3.594 million vs. 4.263 million). At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon is up 23 percent versus his year-ago pace in total viewers (1.694 million vs. 1.373 million), while "Late Late Show" is down 9 percent (1.768 million vs. 1.944 million).

For the week at 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" jumped 24 percent versus the same week last year in 18-49 viewers (478,000 vs. 386,000) and 33 percent in total viewers (971,000 vs. 730,000). Through the first nine weeks of the season, "Last Call" is up by 8 percent in 18-49 viewers (478,000 vs. 441,000) and up 23 percent in total viewers (964,000 vs. 786,000).
