"The Voice" Is Up 10% Week to Week; "Revolution" Is Top Drama Premiere on Any Network in Three Years
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, September 17 plus the week of September 10-16.

Monday Results:

· From 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.6 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49, 13.4 million viewers overall) grew 10 percent week to week in 18-49 rating (with a 4.6 vs. a 4.2 [4.1 last week in fast-affiliate ratings]) and was up 9 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (13.363 million vs. 12.235 million). "The Voice" delivered the #1 results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and total viewers, winning the time period head to head versus Fox's season premiere of "Bones" and series premiere of "The Mob Doctor" by a margin of 142 percent in 18-49 rating (4.6 vs. 1.9) and 52 percent or 6.9 million persons in total viewers.

· "The Voice" scored its highest 18-49 rating on any night of the week since Monday, March 19 (4.6), topping last week's season premiere (4.2) and last May's season finale (4.4). In total viewers, it's the biggest overall audience for "Voice" on any night of the week since Monday, March 12 (14.515 million).

· "The Voice" delivered growth throughout its time period, generating this track in 18-49 rating: 4.1, 4.6, 4.8, 5.0, for a gain of 0.9 of a rating point or 22 percent from the show's first half-hour to its fourth. In total viewers, the increase is 15 percent or 1.9 million persons (14.1 million vs. 12.2 million).

· "The Voice" is up 53 percent versus NBC's 18-49 average in the time period last season (4.6 vs. 3.0) and 54 percent in total viewers (13.363 million vs. 8.682 million). Versus its averages for the show's final four Monday telecasts last spring, "The Voice" is up 24 percent in 18-49 (4.6 vs. 3.7) and 32 percent in total viewers (13.363 vs. 10.149 million).

· At 10 p.m. ET, the premiere of "Revolution" (4.1/11 in adults 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall) is the top premiering drama on any network in three years (since "V" on October 3, 2009, 5.2) and NBC's top premiering drama in five years (since "Bionic Woman," Sept. 26, 2007, 5.7).

· "Revolution" topped the 18-49 rating of every telecast of every regular 10 p.m. drama on ABC, CBS and NBC last season - in fact, the last regularly scheduled 10 p.m. drama on any net to do higher was "Private Practice" (4.2) on Jan. 14, 2010.

· "Revolution" led the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key category, and topped the combined ABC-CBS rating by all key measures. "Revolution" was up 156 percent versus NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (4.1 vs. 1.6, L+SD non-sports) and up 128 percent in total viewers (11.650 million vs. 5.106 million).

· For the night, NBC is #1 in all key categories among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.5/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.7/6; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.2/4.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Nightline," 0.7/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week:

· NBC has dominated the primetime ratings week of September 10-16, led by the #1 show in 18-49 and total viewers, "Sunday Night Football," and the #1 non-sports show on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, "The Voice." NBC finished the week with an average 3.1 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49 and 9.0 million viewers overall.

· It's the sixth time in eight weeks that NBC has ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and the sixth time in eight weeks NBC has led outright among those networks in total viewers.

· For the week, NBC also ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all other key ratings categories.

· NBC Sports' Lions-49ers "Sunday Night Football" coverage delivered the #1 rating of the week in adults 18-49 and total viewers, while Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "The Voice" ranked #1, #2 and tied for #3 for the week among non-sports primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49. "Go On" also tied for #3 among non-sports telecasts.

· For the week, NBC claimed six of the top 10 rankings in adults 18-49 among primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox (excluding all football pre- and post-game telecasts) and seven of the top eight in total viewers.

· In 18-49, top NBC programs for the week included "Sunday Night Football (#1), Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "The Voice" (#2, #3 and tied for #4 respectively), "Go On" (tied for #4), Wednesday and Thursday editions of "America's Got Talent" (#9 and tied for #15 respectively), Monday and Tuesday telecasts of "The New Normal" (both tied for #12), a Wednesday "Guys With Kids" preview (#17) and "Parenthood" (tied for #22). In total viewers, NBC was led by "Sunday Night Football" (#1), Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "The Voice" (#3, #4 and #6 respectively), the Wednesday and Thursday editions of "Talent" (#5 and #7 respectively) and "Go On" (#8).

· Primetime averages for the week of September 10-16 in adults 18-49 were: NBC (3.1/9), Fox (1.9/6), CBS (1.4/4), ABC (1.1/3) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: NBC (9.0 million), CBS (6.2 million), Fox (5.2 million), ABC (3.8 million) and CW (0.8 million).

· For the 2011-12 broadcast year to date, NBC is #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adult 18-49 rating and total viewers, running within a tenth of a rating point of first-place Fox in 18-49. NBC is also #2 for the broadcast year in total viewers and adults 18-34 and tied for #2, and within a tenth of a point of #1, in adults 25-54. NBC is the only network among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox that's up versus one year ago in total viewers and viewers 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54. Averages for the broadcast year through 51 weeks are: Fox (2.7/8), NBC (2.6/8), CBS (2.4/7), ABC (2.1/6) and CW (0.6/2). In overall total viewers, the broadcast-year averages are: CBS (9.8 million), NBC (8.1 million), Fox (7.5 million), ABC (7.3 million) and CW (1.4 million).
