"Office," "Parks" and "Community" Grow Week to Week, "Hannibal" Remains Steady
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, May 2.

Thursday Results:

* At 8 p.m. ET, "Community" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall) is up 20 percent week to week in both 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.0) and total viewers (2.799 million vs. 2.327 million) in a highly competitive time period versus CBS's "Big Bang Theory," Fox's "American Idol" and ABC's "Wife Swap." Note that "Community" adds significant viewership via time-shifting, with last week's episode growing by 39 percent when going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (0.99) to "live plus seven day" results (1.37).

* From 8:30-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 6 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.7) and by 7 percent in total viewers (3.466 million vs. 3.251 million). In its regular 9-9:30 half-hour, "The Office" grew week to week by 12 percent in 18-49 rating (1.9 vs. 1.7) and 10 percent in total viewers (3.588 million vs. 3.251 million). In the time period, "The Office" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34 and men 18-34. Note that "The Office" is a highly time-shifted series, with last week's telecast growing by 50 percent when going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (1.71) to "live plus seven day" results (2.56).

* From 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, "Parks and Recreation" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall) is up week to week by 15 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.3) and up 12 percent in total viewers (2.892 million vs. 2.589 million). In the time period, "Parks and Recreation" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in men 18-34 (with 1.6 rating). Note that "Parks" adds significant viewership via time-shifting, with last week's telecast growing by 52 percent when going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (1.32) to "live plus seven day" results (2.01).

* "Parks" retained 83 percent of the 8:30-9:31 p.m. rating of "The Office" in adults 18-49 and 89 percent in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.8).

* At 10:01 p.m. ET, "Hannibal" (1.0/3 in 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers overall) matched its rating of one week ago and is up 5 percent in total viewers (2.508 million vs. 2.396 million). "Hannibal" maintained its adult 25-54 rating from half-hour to half-hour (1.2 vs. 1.2) and grew in men 25-54 and men 18-34.

* "Hannibal" is a highly time-shifted series, with last week's telecast growing by 81 percent going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings (0.97) to "live plus seven day" results (1.76), its biggest percentage increase to date.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.4/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.5/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.4/6.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/4.

* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
