ABC's Wednesday Night (8-11pm - 6.1 million and 1.8/5 in AD18-49): Opposite Fox's season premiere of American Idol on Wednesday, ABC outdelivered NBC's original line-up on the night by 29% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/5 vs. 1.4/4). ABC ranked #2 on the night among Adults 18-34, Men 18-49, Men 18-34 and Women 18-34.

The Middle (8-8:30pm - 7.5 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49):

Suburgatory (8:30-9pm - 5.3 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49):

Retaining a solid 88% of its lead-in from The Middle at 8:30pm, ABC's season premiere of Suburgatory took second in its slot with a 23% advantage over NBC's Revolution in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5 vs. 1.3/4). Despite opening against Idol, Suburgatory improved its half-hour week to week by 7% in Adults 18-49 with ABC's best number in the slot since November - since 11/20/13.

Modern Family (9-9:30pm - 9.1 million and 3.2/9 in AD18-49):

ABC's Modern Family was Wednesday's #1 scripted show in Adults 18-49.

Super Fun Night (9:30-10pm - 4.6 million and 1.6/4 in AD18-49):

Nashville (10-11pm - 5.1 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):
