NBC Sweeps Six of Six Half-Hours in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers with "The Voice" and "The Blacklist"
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, March 3.

[via press release from NBC]

Monday Results:

NBC swept six of six half-hours among the Big 4 networks last night in adults 18-49 and total viewers with "The Voice" and "The Blacklist," both of which ranked #1 in their time periods among the Big 4 networks in every key ratings category.

· "The Voice" (4.5 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49, 15.7 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET,) retained 96% of last week's premiere rating (4.5 vs. 4.7) and 99% of last week's average in total viewers (15.651 million vs. 15.858 million), and note that last week's 15.9 million was the biggest L+SD audience for any music-competition show on any network since Fox's "American Idol" averaged 16.1 million viewers on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

· The 4.5 for last night's "The Voice" is the show's second-highest 18-49 rating for a Monday telecast since Oct. 14, trailing over that span only last week's 4.7 for the debut episode. And excluding last week, it's the top Monday total-viewer result since March 5, 2012.

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Blacklist" (2.7/8 in adults 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) dominated the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC, prevailing by a 69% margin over ABC's second-place "Castle" (1.6/4) and topping CBS's "Intelligence" by 125% (2.7 vs. 1.2). "The Blacklist" retained 87% of the prior week's rating in adults 18-49 (2.7 vs. 3.1) and 99% in total viewers (11.065 million vs. 11.179 million).

· "The Blacklist" ranked #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC with dominant margins in every key measure. Versus NBC's averages in the slot last season, last night's "Blacklist" is up 35% in 18-49 rating (2.7 vs. 2.0, L+SD non-sports) and 93% in total viewers (11.065 million vs. 5.746 million), pending updates.

· L+3 TIME-SHIFTING: Last week's "Blacklist" grew by 4.7 million viewers in "live plus three day" results (to 15.9 million from 11.2 million) and was up 47% in 18-49 (to a 4.55 from a 3.09).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 4.2/11; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.5/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.7/8; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (2.0/7 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.9/6 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.2/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated. Season figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."
