"Chicago P.D." Grows Week to Week by 7% in 18-49 Rating, Making the Fifth Time It Has Matched or Topped Its Prior Telecast
NBC spins the numbers for Wednesday, March 12.

Wednesday Primetime Results:

· On the first Wednesday of Daylight Saving Time, "Revolution" (1.3/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintained the 1.3 rating of its prior three telecasts and retained 99% of last week's total-viewer results (4.693 million vs. 4.755 million). L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous "Revolution" grew by 41% in L+3 versus these L+SD figures (to a 1.89 rating from a 1.34).

· "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.6/5 in adults 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 23% and its total-viewer lead-in by 33%. "SVU" grew half-hour to half-hour by 6% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.7 rating from a 1.6) and by 11% in women 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.8). L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior "SVU" grew by 41% in L+3 versus these L+SD figures in 18-49 (to a 2.21 rating from a 1.57).

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Chicago P.D." (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 7% in 18-49 rating (1.6 vs. 1.5), making this the fifth time this season "Chicago P.D." has matched or topped the 18-49 rating of its prior telecast. "Chicago P.D." retained 100% of its lead-in from "SVU" in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (2.1 each). In the time period, "Chicago P.D." ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, tied for #1 in adults 18-34 and was #1 outright among those networks in men 18-34. In its first eight weeks on the schedule, "Chicago P.D." has now generated NBC's eight best 18-49 results in the time period, excluding Olympics and "Saturday Night Live" specials, since Sept. 25, 2013.

· From its first half-hour to its second, "Chicago P.D." grew in every key ratings measure, despite the 10 p.m. hour. Increases included 6% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.7 from a 1.6) and 10% in adults 25-54 (2.2 vs. 2.0).

· L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous "Chicago P.D." grew in L+3 by 53% in 18-49 (to a 2.36 from a 1.54) and by 2.6 million viewers (8.7 million vs. 6.1 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.3/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "Tonight," 1.4/6; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.6/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/5 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
