Premiere of "The Slap" Delivers NBC's #2 Total-Viewer Result in Its Time Period This Season with Regularly Scheduled Programming
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, February 12.

Thursday Primetime Results:

· The premiere of "The Slap" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) delivered NBC's #2 total-viewer result in the time period this season with regularly scheduled programming, despite stiff competition in the slot last night from ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," Fox's "American Idol" and CBS's encore "Big Bang Theory." The only regular programming this season to top last night's 5.082 million in the slot for "The Slap" was the Jan. 8 "Biggest Loser" (5.094 million).

· "The Slap" maintained or increased its rating from half-hour to half-hour in most key measures, including a gain of +17% in women 18-49 (1.2 to 1.4).

· "The Blacklist" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) built by +55% on its 18-49 lead-in, while ABC's "Scandal" is building by +35% (2.3 to 3.1) and CBS and Fox are flat or declining versus lead-in. In total viewers, "The Blacklist" built on last night's lead-in by +57% while ABC is growing by +20% and CBS and Fox are declining.

· "The Blacklist" jumped by +70% versus NBC's 18-49 season average in the time period prior to "Blacklist" (1.7 vs. 1.0, L+SD non-sports) and is up +116% versus NBC's total-viewer season average in the hour (7.979 million vs. 3.689 million).

· "The Blacklist" will grow substantially in L+7 -- "Blacklist" originals this season have increased by +72% in 18-49 rating and 6.3 million viewers overall going from L+SD to L+7. L+7 ESTIMATES: 3.2 in 18-49, 13.2 million viewers overall.

· "Allegiance" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) will increase substantially in L+3 -- The prior week's "Allegiance" grew by +48% in L+3 vs. L+SD in 18-49 rating (1.07 to 1.58) and in total viewers by 2.2 million persons (5.0 million to 7.2 million).

· Upscale: "Allegiance'" is currently the most upscale new drama on the Big 4 networks so far this season, indexing at a 145 for adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes, "most current" including L+3).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.6/7.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
