STARTING OVER SEASON TWO SNEAK PEEK

Audience to get first look at new house and cast on September 10th

BURBANK, Calif. -- September 3, 2004 -- NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's STARTING OVER will kick off its second season with a special preview episode available to local stations starting Friday, Sept. 10.

The real-life daytime drama, which is produced by Bunim-Murray Productions ("The Real World," "The Simple Life"), will make its official second season premiere on Monday, September 13, 2004 (Syndicated, check local listings for time and station).

"STARTING OVER is such a roller coaster ride that we wanted to provide the audience with the chance to get fully up to speed on the characters and the drama that will unfold daily starting September 13th," said Jon Murray, Chairman, Bunim-Murray Productions.

The dramatic highlights of the first season lead up to the cliffhanger episode featuring Josie, the young pregnant woman who entered the house at the end of the season, due to give birth in a number of weeks. While Josie gave birth at the end of the first season, a number of questions remain unanswered, including who is the father of her newborn.

In the special preview episode, viewers will be introduced to the second season cast, which includes Josie (22) from Chicago, who returns to the STARTING OVER house from season one.

New cast members include:

TOWANDA (30) Atlanta, GA: Towanda struggles to develop her own identity separate from her show biz family.

SINAE (18) Los Angeles, CA: At age 17, Sinae was stricken by a blow that would have crushed most adults. Now she needs to create a life for herself in the face of such personal adversity.

JENNIFER (21) Denver, CO: Jennifer has been grappling with adult problems since childhood and is desperate to be rid of the feelings she has kept locked up since her youth.

DEBORAH (46) Los Angeles, CA: Deborah says she has tried everything to meet the right man, and nothing and no one, not even the women in the house, will stand in her way.

KIM (46) Denver, CO: If money buys happiness, Kim should be on top of the world, but despite her many privileges, she carries a heavy burden.

Viewers will also have the opportunity to meet life coach Iyanla Vanzant, and Consulting Psychologist Dr. Stan J. Katz, who join life coach Rhonda Britten, returning for her second season on STARTING OVER.

Additionally, the audience will see the new STARTING OVER house, now established in Los Angeles, in a beautiful, Spanish?style, hilltop house with expansive views, lush gardens and a pool.

STARTING OVER is the first ever real-life daytime drama. STARTING OVER features six women living under the same roof, each striving to meet challenging goals and improve their lives while living together. They are supported by "life coaches" who offer guidance and direction. Each woman is expected to reside in the STARTING OVER house for six to twelve weeks, depending on the scope of her "project" and her rate of progress toward her goal.

STARTING OVER is produced by Bunim-Murray Productions, the creators of the hit series "The Simple Life," "The Real World" and "Road Rules." It is distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Jonathan Murray and Millee Taggart-Ratcliffe are Executive Producers. STARTING OVER is currently sold in more than 90% of the U.S. for its second season in national syndication.

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's current syndicated programming includes the first run series "Access Hollywood," "Blind Date," "The Chris Matthews Show," "Fifth Wheel," "The Jane Pauley Show," "Jerry Springer Show," "The George Michael Sports Machine," "Home Delivery," "Maury," "Rebecca's Garden," "Starting Over," "The Wall Street Journal Report," "Wild Moments," "Your Total Health," and the off-network syndication sales of the series "Boomtown," "Crossing Jordan," "Ed," "Fear Factor," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Providence," and many more. NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution also distributes the first-run specials "The Remarkable Journey" and "Good Housekeeping Reports" inserts.
