SINGLE MOM JOSIE GRADUATES STARTING OVER IN TRIUMPH

Returns to Chicago With Baby Chloe After Two Seasons on Acclaimed Real-Life Daytime Drama

LOS ANGELES, CA - November 19, 2004 - Josie, a single mother and two-season veteran of STARTING OVER, has graduated in triumph from the critically acclaimed real-life daytime television drama produced by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution and Bunim-Murray Productions, creators of "The Real World" and "The Simple Life" (syndicated, check local listings for time and station).

Josie arrived at the STARTING OVER house in dire straits at the end of season one. Eight months pregnant, abandoned by her child's father, she had recently resorted to living out of her car. She was warmly welcomed by her new housemates who were instantly won over by her story of struggle and misfortune. In search of a more stable life, and looking for help with the momentous decision to keep her baby or to put her up for adoption, Josie worked with STARTING OVER life coaches for daily support and guidance as she faced her dilemma.

Josie returned to the STARTING OVER house at the beginning of season two, which premiered September 13, 2004. Housemates and viewers instantly fell in love with baby Chloe, who Josie had decided to raise on her own. With the support of the STARTING OVER Life Coaches, Rhonda Britten and Iyanla Vanzant, and Consulting Psychologist Dr. Stan J. Katz, Josie began to reevaluate her life, and her options while working towards her goal to be the best mother possible to her young daughter.

With her graduation from the STARTING OVER house behind her, Josie will return to a new life in the Chicago area, with a support system in place, and newly strengthened family ties. As a graduation gift from her STARTING OVER family, Josie received an enrollment package for a career training program.

STARTING OVER features a group of women living together in a Hollywood Hills home and striving to improve their lives. The daily one-hour, real-life drama follows a diverse and ever-changing group of women as they attempt to make extraordinary changes in their lives ? all while living under the same roof.

Each woman in the STARTING OVER cast is expected to reside in the STARTING OVER house for six to twelve weeks, depending on the scope of her "project" and her rate of progress toward her goal. Those women who achieve their goals graduate in triumph. Those who falter can be asked to leave the house.

STARTING OVER is produced by Bunim-Murray Productions, the creators of the hit series "The Simple Life," "The Real World" and "Road Rules." It is distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Jonathan Murray and Millee Taggart-Ratcliffe are Executive Producers. STARTING OVER is currently sold in more than 90% of the U.S. for its second season in national syndication.

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's current syndicated programming includes the first run series "Access Hollywood," "Blind Date," "The Chris Matthews Show," "The Jane Pauley Show," "Jerry Springer Show," "The George Michael Sports Machine," "Home Delivery," "Maury," "Rebecca's Garden," "Starting Over," "The Wall Street Journal Report," "Wild Moments," "Your Total Health," and the off-network syndication sales of the series "Boomtown," "Crossing Jordan," "Ed," "Fear Factor," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Providence," and many more. NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution also distributes the first-run specials "The Remarkable Journey" and "Good Housekeeping Reports" inserts.
