MASTER PLAN BACKFIRES ON ERIC AS THE "BIG BROTHER 6" OUTCASTS SEND HIM PACKING!

ERIC LITTMANN IS THE THIRD HOUSEGUEST EVICTED FROM THE "BIG BROTHER 6" HOUSE

STUDIO CITY, CALIF., July 22 -- The tables have turned in the BIG BROTHER 6 HOUSE, and as a result, last week's leader, Eric Littmann, who was nominated by the third Head of Household, Kaysar Ridha, was evicted last night from the Big Brother house. Eric's secret partner, Maggie Ausburn, was also nominated for eviction.

By a vote of 5-4, Eric received votes for eviction from Rachel, Howie, Sarah, Janelle and James. Ivette, Beau, April and Jennifer voted for Maggie to go.

Last week, Kaysar won HOH and nominated James and Maggie in an effort to undo Eric's alliance of nine people and expose secret pairings in the house. Shortly thereafter, James cut a deal with Kaysar to sever his alliance with Eric. Together, Kaysar and James mapped out a strategy for James to get the Power of Veto, so he could take himself off the chopping block. After an intense veto competition of human chess, James won the POV and Kaysar nominated Eric for eviction alongside his secret partner. Tempers flared after Maggie and Eric realized they had been set up.

With the house turning around on a dime, Eric suddenly found himself as a target. Kaysar and Janelle, both lost their partners, Ashlea and Michael respectively, in weeks one and two, partnered together and cut a deal with other secret partners Rachel/Howie and James/Sarah for the final six.

After the eviction, the houseguests competed in a competition called "Power Ball" to see who would become the next Head of Household. Maggie Ausburn, the 26-year-old emergency room nurse from Las Vegas, Nev. won the coveted position.

During last night's live broadcast, the firefighter and married father of two from Las Vegas, Nev. learned his fate, said his good-byes and left the house. After leaving BIG BROTHER 6, Eric was interviewed by Julie Chen about his experience, as well as on "The Early Show" on Friday morning.

Each Thursday, the houseguests compete to become Head of Household. The perks of the position include having a luxurious private bathroom and bedroom stocked with favorite foods and a plasma screen spy cam to monitor other houseguests' activities, but it also includes the responsibility of having to nominate two fellow housemates for eviction. However, one of the nominees can be saved from the chopping block if they or another housemate wins the Power of Veto competition and chooses to save one of the nominees while giving themselves immunity from nomination. If they choose to use the veto, the Head of Household must immediately choose another nominee.

As part of the twist that will play out during the summer broadcasts, each of the original 14 houseguests who entered the house believes that they are the only one playing the game with a secret partner.

For more information about the aftermath of Eric's eviction from BIG BROTHER 6, log on to www.cbs.com and watch him live on "Housecalls: The Big Brother Talk Show" with Marcellas and Gretchen on Friday (1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT).

BIG BROTHER 6 is broadcast each week on Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) and Saturdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The Thursday broadcast, hosted by Julie Chen, features the live eviction of one of the houseguests.
