BURBANK May 4, 2006 NBC turns up the heat on Monday, June 5 airing back-to-back 90-minute season finales of "Deal or No Deal" and "The Apprentice" from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT. "Deal or No Deal," hosted by Howie Mandel, kicks-off the night by raising the stakes as the top prize money increases from one to five million dollars for season finale (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT). Following the five million dollar thrill, the 15-week job interview culminates as the final boardroom begins on NBC's "The Apprentice," and two candidates vie for the $250,000 year-long 'apprenticeship' during the live season finale (9:30-11 p.m. ET/PT).

During the "Deal or No Deal" finale, high school guidance counselor Casey Bell of Temecula, California is the lucky contestant. She will be surprised with a chance to become a millionaire five times over when the new stakes are revealed. Does she have the nerves of steel needed when she is confronted with life-altering financial decisions in a highly pressured environment? She gets a little help from her family, friends, and a surprise guest.

The pressure continues on NBC at 9:30 p.m. with a live boardroom from the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, California, where Donald Trump will hire his latest "Apprentice," marking the first time "The Apprentice" finale has been held outside of New York City. Trump's newest employee will join the ranks of the four previous winners Bill Rancic, Kelly Perdew, Kendra Todd and Randal Pinkett. Special guest appearances during the final task include Michael J. Fox, Jaime Pressly, Denis Leary, Jason Priestley, Stephen Baldwin and the Barenaked Ladies, among others.

As previously announced, for the first time in the show''s history, NBC''s "Apprentice" fans will have the chance to advise Trump on who should be the next "Apprentice." In the penultimate week, viewers will be able to vote for one of the final two candidates via phone and on-line at www.NBC.com. The results of America's favorite candidate will be presented to Trump during the live finale before he makes his final decision. "I'm very anxious to see who the fans choose for their favorite finalist -- their decision could have a big effect on my ultimate decision," said Trump. Viewers will also be able to log onto www.NBC.com to write in questions for Trump to ask the final two candidates during the live boardroom finale.

Additionally, viewers of both NBC finales will have the chance to play and win interactively, as they have been doing each week. Beginning with "Deal or No Deal," viewers in each of the three time zones (Eastern/Central, Mountain and Pacific) can watch and play the "Lucky Case Game," and have a chance to win $10,000 by texting on their cell phones or logging onto the "Deal or No Deal" website at www.nbc.com/DOND. During "The Apprentice," viewers will also have the opportunity to roll in the dough with a random drawing of $10,000 by playing the live interactive "Get Rich With Trump" game. "Get Rich With Trump" can be played by sending a text message from a cell phone or by logging onto NBC.com/APPRENTICE.

Hosted by Howie Mandel ("Hidden Howie"), "Deal or No Deal" is an international hit game show from Endemol USA, the producers of NBC''s "Fear Factor" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Contestants on the show play for a top prize of $1 million in a high-energy match of nerves, instincts and raw intuition. Each night, the game of odds and chance unfolds when a contestant faces 26 sealed briefcases containing anything from a measly penny to $1 million. Without knowing the amount in each briefcase, the contestant picks one -- his to keep, if he chooses, until its unsealing at game''s end. The game kicks into high gear when the amount of cash in each case is revealed to the contestant round-by-round - and is tempted after each round by a mysterious entity known only as "The Banker" to accept an offer of cash in exchange for what might be contained in the contestant''s chosen briefcase - prompting Mandel to ask the all-important question -- "Deal or No Deal"?

Based on the successful format from Endemol that has aired in over 35 countries, "Deal or No Deal" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA. The series is executive-produced by Scott St. John.

"The Apprentice" is produced by Mark Burnett Productions. Mark Burnett, Jay Bienstock and Donald J. Trump are executive producers. Conrad Riggs and Kevin Harris are co-executive producers. "The Apprentice" finale is produced by Al Berman Productions.
