America to Choose the 'Wildcard' Act to Round Out the Top 40 Contestants Competing on 'America's Got Talent' When NBC's Summer Smash Hit Series Returns with Live Performance Episodes August 26

Russian Bar Trio Drop Out of Competition; America Gets to Decide Who Gets the Final Top 40 Spot by Voting Online at NBC.com

BURBANK, Calif. - August 8, 2008 - During last night's episode of NBC's hit summer series "America's Got Talent," judges Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and David Hasselhoff selected the Top 40 acts. But after the show, Christine from the Russian Bar Trio suffered a serious injury while performing the dangerous act, and her group had to withdrawal from the competition - leaving one more spot left in the Top 40!

Now, America gets to decide which act will get the biggest second chance of their career and take the final "wildcard" position. The celebrity judges have narrowed the selection down to eight acts that America gets to choose from. Viewers can check out their video and vote for their favorite by logging on to www.NBC.com/AmericasGotTalent or www.NBC.com/AGT.

The online voting will end at 4:00 p.m. ET on Friday, August 15, 2008.
