IDENTITY (ABC, New!) - John Glenn has booked another new drama, this time at ABC. Said hour is based on Ed Whitmore's U.K. series of the same name, about "an elite police unit formed to combat the explosion of identity-related crime." Keeley Hawes and Aidan Gillen co-starred in the series, which aired on ITV this summer. ABC Studios, ITV Studios and the Mark Gordon Co. are co-producing with Mark Gordon, Deborah Spera, Paul Buccieri and Julie Meldal-Johnsen executive producing alongside Glenn.
LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES (NBC) - Wanda De Jesus has been let go from the upcoming drama after two episodes. She played Arleen Gonzales, "the cool and authoritative captain of the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division." It's understood her scenes in those installments will be reshot with a replacement to be named shortly. Said report indicates the recasting is being done to take the role in a different direction.
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (NBC) - Melissa Sagemiller has been tapped for a recurring role on the veteran drama. She'll play the show's incoming ADA. Sagemiller takes over for Paula Patton, who was set to fill said void but was subsequently cast as the female lead in "Mission: Impossible 4." Patton then will only appear in one episode this season. Sharon Stone and Christine Lahti served as the show's ADAs last season.
RED ROOFS (FOX, New!)/UNTITLED BOB KUSHELL PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Bob Kushell ("American Dad") has booked a pair of projects. First up is "Red Roofs" at FOX, an animated comedy about "the quirky citizens of a suburban subdivision." Then there's an untitled multi-camera comedy at NBC, about "a blended family dealing with the death of the clan's patriarch (who had been living a double life)." No studio was listed as attached to either project.
