NBC NAMES ALISON HAISLIP, G4's "ATTACK OF THE SHOW!", AS BACKSTAGE ONLINE AND SOCIAL MEDIA CORRESPONDENT FOR NEW MUSICAL COMPETITION SERIES "THE VOICE"

'The Voice' Provides Unprecedented Access to the Show and the Show's Artists and Celebrity Coaches Throughout the Competition Via NBC.com and Social Media Engagement

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 28, 2011 - NBC revealed that Alison Haislip (G4's "Attack of the Show!") has been named as the new backstage online and social media correspondent for the network's musical competition series "The Voice" (premiering Tuesday, April 26, 9-11 p.m. ET). Additionally, the show will provide viewers with unprecedented access to the competing artists via NBC.com and social media engagement. The on-air show will also feature a "V-Room" where artists will talk with Haislip (@alisonhaislip) post performance and engage with fans via social media. And coaches -- Christina Aguilera (@TheRealXtina), Cee Lo Green (@ceelogreen), Adam Levine (@adamlevine) and Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) -- will be using real-time interaction and feedback from viewers in their decision-making as they manage their teams.

The news was announced today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

"Alison's revolutionary role will give front row access to fans and bring them face-to-face with our contestants and coaches," said Telegdy. "We want our artists to be ambassadors for themselves and the show and Alison is the ideal person to lead the charge online and bring fans an unprecedented and ongoing interactive experience."

"I'm thrilled to be a part of 'The Voice' especially in this particular capacity. It gives me the opportunity to combine one of the things I'm most passionate about -- music, with something that's already a huge part of my life -- social media," said Haislip. "And the best part is, I get to experience it all as a fan who has been thrown into this wonderland, inside-world of the show. I believe the outcome will be rather unprecedented."

In addition to her G4 "Attack of the Show!" responsibilities, Haislip will be taking on the innovative role of bridging the on-air show with the online experience, tasked with bringing "The Voice" viewers closer to the competition. This will allow fans to experience the entire process through exclusive interviews, video, photos, news about the coaches and artists and a live twitter feed on the official website http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/. Haislip will instantly connect with fans via social media handles concurrent with the show's broadcast and will invite them to engage with the artists throughout the entire competition. Each artist will have a blog at nbc.com, a Facebook Fan page and they are encouraged to tweet using their personal twitter handles. The use of the social media tools in building the artists individual fan bases furthers the shows dedication to reflect the A&R process.

Haislip is a New Jersey native who has been acting since she was 12 and singing since she was 3. Both theatrically trained as well as being a former Ford model, Haislip has performed in numerous works ranging from films and television shows to music videos and plays.

Haislip also can be found on the second season of G4's "American Ninja Warrior." Some of Haislip's film credits include: "The Donner Party" (starring Crispin Glover);"Wasted" (a 2006 Tribeca Film Festival selection starring Kip Pardue, Eddie K. Thomas, Josh Cooke, and Kaley Cuoco);"The Indian" (in which she stars opposite "Kyle XY" star Matt Dallas and which won Best Picture at the Cinema City International Film Festival); "Into the Arms of Strangers" (which received glowing reviews at the 2007 Dances with Films Festival); and "Indigo Hearts" (an official selection of the 2005 Beverly Hills Film Festival).

Her television credits include VH1's "I Hate My 30s" and Comedy Central's "Reno 911!" She also won the "Showcase Showdown" on "The Price Is Right," and in her spare time, writes music on her red piano and "eats too much ice cream."

"The Voice" debuts Tuesday, April 26 (9-11 p.m. ET) and will shift into its regular day and time on Tuesdays (8-9 p.m. ET) to continue with new episodes through the end of June. On "The Voice," four famous musician coaches -- Aguilera, Green, Levine and Shelton -- will each select singers during blind auditions to mentor into artists. Once they have their teams, the star coaches will bring in their personal contacts, producers, and high-powered friends to help their teams evolve. Ultimately, America will decide which singer will be worthy of the grand prize.

Carson Daly (@carsonjdaly) hosts the show's innovative format that features three stages of competition. The winner will be named "The Voice" -- and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract and $100,000. "The Voice" is a presentation of Talpa Productions, Mark Burnett and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who will executive-produce along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey and Stijn Bakkers.
