HGTV'S "ALL AMERICAN HANDYMAN" RETURNS FOR A SECOND ELECTRIFYING SEASON

Series Premieres on Sunday, September 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT

New York, N.Y. [For Immediate Release - August 9, 2011] The battle to prove who is the best non-professional handyman or woman in the nation returns with HGTV's All American Handyman on Sunday, September 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. During the six-episode series, hosted by Molly Culver, twenty highly skilled contestants will compete in a succession of timed "fix-it" quizzes and construction challenges to determine who will win the coveted title of All American Handyman, a $10,000 shopping spree at Sears and a show development deal with HGTV. Throughout the competition, the contestants will do their best to impress three experts - HGTV's Mike Holmes (Holmes on Homes), Scott McGillivray (Income Property) and a weekly special guest judge.

Contestants in the season premiere of All American Handyman include: Stefano Biaggioni, New York, N.Y.; Marcus Bailey, Conshohocken, Pa.; Matthew Boyce, New York, N.Y.; Mike Burns, Philadelphia, Pa.; Joshua Cohen, Winchester, Va.; Howard Eason, Durham, N.C.; Chris Gill, Nashville, Tenn.; Lawrence Huffines, Tacoma, Wash.; Peter Kelley, Portland, Ore.; Shaun Killman, Clifton, N.J.; Kurt Klaske, Fond Du Lac, Wis.; Allison Oropallo, Stoneham, Mass.; Andy Panko, Edison, N.J.; Cheryl Pokorny, Mt. Airy, Md.; Jared Polston, Pottsville, Pa.; Kate Schorzman, Pocatello, Idaho; Neil Smith, Pickerington, Ohio; Natalie Spahle, Mesa, Ariz.; Tonya Tyler, Rockledge, Fla.; and Edward Wurch, Cedar Grove, N.J.

Throughout the season, the contestants will face unexpected challenges, such as creating a linen closet with two used doors that do not match, cutting and applying crown molding to an irregularly shaped section of ceiling and wall, and designing and laying a patio floor from interlocking stone. In the first episode, the pressure is on to devise the most soundly built, perfectly functional garden gate using only two standing posts and available materials. All of the assigned tasks could be completed by any accomplished handyman, so it's up to the contestants to prove that they have the skills to win it all.

Fans can visit www.HGTV.com/handyman to learn more about the contestants, take interactive quizzes to test their handyman IQ and view the judges' vlogs to find out what they really thought about the contestants' performance.
