ABC'S "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" TRAVELS HOME TO BROOKLYN FOR FIVE ORIGINAL SHOWS, OCTOBER 29 - NOVEMBER 2

For the first time in nearly 10 seasons on the air, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will travel to the east coast. From October 29 - November 2, "JKL" will broadcast from the host's birthplace, Brooklyn, NY.

ABC and Kimmel announced today, while co- hosting "Live! With Kelly," that "JKL" in Brooklyn will originate from BAM -- Brooklyn Academy of Music - the historic performing arts center which has been the cultural epicenter of Brooklyn since 1861.

This is the first "JKL" road trip since 2006, when the show broadcast from the famous GEM Theater to record one of Kimmel's highest-rated weeks ever.

The citizens and sights of Brooklyn will be featured throughout the week, along with special guests, segments and music acts. Select partners such as Hyundai have come on board to amp up the excitement for "JKL" in Brooklyn and will support the trip in a variety of ways leading up to and during the week.

"JKL's" week in Brooklyn coincides with the inaugural season of the newly-minted Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center. It will be an exciting week for the men, women and children of New York's most colorful and populous borough.

"JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" (weeknights at 12:00 am on ABC)

Jimmy Kimmel serves as host and executive producer of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," ABC's late-night talk show. Now in its 10th season, "JKL" is packed with hilarious comedy bits and features a diverse lineup of guests including celebrities, athletes, musicians, comedians and humorous human interest subjects. Every night, Kimmel delivers his up-to-the minute take on the latest news and pop culture topics from the day's events in his monologue. Kimmel has welcomed such notables as Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Eddie Murphy, Tom Cruise, Woody Harrelson, Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Zach Galifianakis, Charlize Theron, Tim Allen, Simon Cowell, Adam Sandler, Ellen DeGeneres, Mickey Rourke, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, Channing Tatum, John Krasinski, David Beckham, Shaquille O'Neal and many more, including Matt Damon... well, almost Matt Damon.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jill Leiderman serve as executive producers. Jason Schrift, Douglas DeLuca and Erin Irwin serve as co-executive producers. Emmy-Award winning "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is shot live in front of a studio audience and produced by Jackhole Industries in association with ABC Studios. For more go to www.jimmykimmellive.com
