A Special Edition of "Nightline" Will Provide the Whole Picture of the Day's Events at 11:35 p.m., ET

ABC News will provide continuing coverage of the tragic shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut across all broadcasts and platforms.

· "World News with Diane Sawyer" (6:30 p.m., ET): Diane Sawyer will anchor a special edition of "World News" from the scene of the shooting.

· "20/20: Tragedy at the Elementary School" (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET): Diane Sawyer and Chris Cuomo will anchor a special edition of "20/20" from Newtown, Connecticut.

· "Nightline" (11:35 p.m., ET): Cynthia McFadden will anchor a special edition of "Nightline" from the scene in Connecticut.

A shooting erupted at a Connecticut school this morning, prompting the town of Newtown to lock down all of its schools and draw SWAT teams to the school, authorities said today.
