FOX Pulls Sunday's "Family Guy," "American Dad" Originals
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX has pulled this Sunday's episodes of "Family Guy" and "American Dad."

While no official reason was given, it's understood said originals - "Jesus, Mary and Joseph!" and "Minstrel Krampus" - feature sensitive content in light of today's tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

The episodes will be replaced by repeats of "Grumpy Old Man" and "Wheels & The Legman and The Case of Grandpa's Key," respectively.

The network has likewise dropped the 7:00/6:00c repeat of "The Cleveland Show" ("Die Semi-Hard") in favor of a different encore installment ("Menace II Secret Society").

The previously announced originals for "The Cleveland Show," "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers" however are still scheduled to air.

To recap:

Sunday, December 16
7:00/6:00c - "The Cleveland Show: Menace II Secret Society" (Repeat)
7:30/6:30c - "The Cleveland Show: 'Tis The Cleveland To Be Sorry"
8:00/7:00c - "The Simpsons: To Cur With Love"
8:30/7:30c - "Bob's Burgers: God Rest Ye Merry Gentle-Mannequins"
9:00/8:00c - "Family Guy: Grumpy Old Man" (Repeat)
9:30/8:30c - "Wheels & The Legman and The Case of Grandpa's Key" (Repeat)

This is the second time in recent memory FOX has pulled "Family Guy" and "American Dad" originals: in April 2011, a hurricane-themed crossover (including "The Cleveland Show") was nixed after dozens of tornadoes devastated the South that same month. The episodes ultimately aired in October last year.
