BIG TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, FL (Comedy Central; W: Alex Anfanger & Dan Schimpf; D: TBA) - Lenny Jacobson and Jon Bass have both landed roles on the comedy pilot, about "two delusional brothers - Jack (Alex Anfanger) and Ben (Jacobson) - who are self-proclaimed filmmakers, as they are kicked out of their parents' (Kathy Baker, Stephen Tobolowsky) house and end up on an epic cinematic journey." Bass - who's also been cast in A+E Networks' comedy pilot "Whitey" - will play Del, "the brothers' child-like friend." (Deadline.com)

BROKEN GIRL (FOX, New!) - John Scott Shepherd ("Save Me") has booked a new drama at the network about "emotionally damaged Trish Derring who, after she loses the man she saw as her last hope for happiness, decides she has nothing left to live for only to discover she's literally invincible." Said effort is set up at 20th Century Fox Television with Prospect Park's Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry presumably executive producing alongside Shepherd. (Deadline.com)

HISTORY OF MUSIC (HBO; W: Terence Winter; D: Martin Scorsese) - Feature writers Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Runner Runner) have been tapped as showrunner of the potential drama, which follows the exploits of Richie (Bobby Cannavale), "a cocaine-fueled record exec in New York City circa 1977, when punk, disco and a new form of music called hip-hop collided." Said duo will lend a hand on the latest rewrite of Winter's script in anticipation of a pilot order as well as executive produce alongside Scorsese, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Mick Jagger, Rick Yorn and Victoria Pearman. (Deadline.com)

HOKE (FX, New!) - Paul Giamatti is set to star in a potential drama for the cable channel about "the hardboiled and possibly insane homicide detective Hoke Moseley (Giamatti) in pre-chic Miami circa 1985." The project, which has a pilot order, is based on Charles Willeford's novels "Sideswipe," "New Hope for the Dead" and "The Way We Die Now." Feature writer Scott Frank (The Wolverine) will write and direct the FX Productions-based hour as well as executive produce alongside Curtis Hanson, Carol Fenelon and Dan Carey. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED BRANDON SCHWARTZ PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Newcomer Brandon Schwartz has sold a new comedy to the network about "a young hopeless romantic guy who, after being dumped by his first and only girlfriend, moves into a West Hollywood apartment complex with a handsome former gigolo, two aspiring female supermodels, and a self-defense instructor who become his unlikely friends and support group and introduce him into a wild new world he could have never imagined exist." Lionsgate Television is behind the half-hour with former ABC chief Steve McPherson serving as an executive producer via his Wonder Monkey Productions and Schwartz a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
