Oxygen Media Elevates Brie Miranda Bryant to Vice President of Development and Production, Original Programming

OXYGEN MEDIA ELEVATES BRIE MIRANDA BRYANT TO VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION, ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING

NEW YORK - November 14, 2013 - Oxygen Media has elevated Brie Miranda Bryant to Vice President, Development and Production, Original Programming. In her new role, Bryant will continue to develop and produce new series as well as specials, while also overseeing the day-to-day production on original programming. Based in New York, Bryant will report to Cori Abraham, Senior Vice President, Development and International for Oxygen Media.

"Brie has proven to be an invaluable member of Oxygen's production and development team with her outstanding creative vision and ability to identify breakout characters and trends," said Abraham. "As we continue to increase original programming, Brie will help deliver more innovative and groundbreaking hits that speak to our young female audience."

Bryant joined Oxygen in 2004 and has been a driving force behind some of the network's biggest hits including the new docu-series "Preachers of L.A.," which earned Oxygen its strongest premiere in network history among F25-54, delivering over one million total viewers. Most recently, Bryant served as Senior Director of Development and Production, overseeing series such as "Bad Girls Club," "Bad Girls All Star Battle," "Snapped: Killer Couples," "Find Me My Man," "Jersey Couture," "Brooklyn 11223," "All About Aubrey," "Running Russell Simmons" and the competition series "Hair Battle Spectacular."

Prior to her career in television, Bryant worked for Conde Nast Publication's, Teen Vogue. Before publishing, she worked in film, including the Martin Scorcese and Clint Eastwood documentary, The Blues, and was part of the launch team for the Tribeca Film Festival.

Bryant has served as a Co-Chair of the NBCU Diversity Counsel and won a Gracie Award, which honors programming created for women, by women and about women. Outside of her work with NBCUniversal, Bryant is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), and has been a speaker at events such as the Realscreen Summit. Bryant received her Master's degree in Media Studies from New York University and her Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications from Southern Connecticut State University.
