CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - The Eye is once again looking to spin off the veteran drama, this time following "FBI agents helping American citizens who find themselves in trouble abroad." Showrunner Erica Messer is penning the project, which will be set up via backdoor pilot in a February episode. Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper will likewise executive produce for ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)


LUMEN (TNT/ABCS; W: Chris Black; D: Joe Johnson) - Simon Kassianides ("Marvel's Agents of SHIELD") has scored a role on the drama pilot, about a family of four who finds themselves transported to the mystical alternate world inspired by the work of a missing author's (Wynn Everett) best-selling series of fantasy books. He'll play Bevan Gravewood, "the Captain of the Emperor's Royal Guard in Lumen." Zara Zoe and Sam Jaeger also star. (Deadline.com)
