305 (FOX, New!) - Writer Sascha Penn ("Power"), director Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) and rapper Armando "Pitbull" Perez are set to team for a new drama at the network about a teen "pulled from his rundown high school and sent to live with his uncle, a celebrity chef, and attend the wealthiest private school in Miami, where he attempts to acclimate himself to his new surroundings while dealing with relationships, family drama, work and all the problems that more money brings." Said effort, which has a penalty attached, comes from Endemol Shine Studios and Perez's Honey I'm Home banner. David Ortiz will co-executive produce. (Deadline.com)

BONITA & MECHELLE (NBC, New!) - Kriss Turner Towner ("The Soul Man") has sold a new multi-camera comedy to the Peacock about "two women - one Hispanic and one African American - who find themselves living together while conquering the ups and downs of single life and parenting." Universal Television is behind the half-hour with UnbeliEVAble Entertainment's Eva Longoria and Ben Spector executive producing alongside Will Packer Productions' Will Packer with Korin D. Huggins co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)

DEUCE, THE (HBO; W: David Simon & George Pelecanos; D: Michelle MacLaren) - Maggie Gyllenhaal ("The Honourable Woman") has signed onto the drama pilot, which chronicles the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York's Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s. Gyllenhaal will play Eileen Merrell, street name Candy, "a Times Square hooker and veteran with an entrepreneurial bent who is drawn into the fledgling industry." She'll also receive a producing credit on the project, which also stars James Franco. (Deadline.com)

MOSAIC (HBO, New!) - Steven Soderbergh ("Behind the Candelabra") is back in business with the pay channel for "an experimental film which has a tie-in with an app that would help viewers determine its ending." The top secret project, set to begin filming next month in Utha, reportedly stars Sharon Stone and Garrett Hedlund. Soderbergh told the publication: "I believe the good people at HBO are genuinely enthusiastic about Mosaic for two reasons: first, it represents a fresh way of experiencing a story and sharing that experience with others; second, it will require a new Emmy category, and we will be the only eligible nominee." (Deadline.com)

POOR RICHARD'S ALMANACK (USA/Legendary/UCP; W: Jim Danger Gray & Miguel Sapochnik; D: Neil Marshall) - Sam Jaeger and Harold Perrineau are the latest to be cast in the drama pilot, which revolves around a cadre of heroes who emerge as the new "Founding Fathers," after America is pushed to the brink of collapse. Perrineau is set as Matt Monroe, "the FBI Agent in charge after a terrorist attack on Philadelphia"; with Jaeger as Darwin Fischer, "a former CIA field agent-turned-analyst. Monroe's search for the attack's inside-man puts him on a crash course with Darwin and his schizophrenic sister (Jordan Hayes) embroiling them in a conspiracy that will shake the country to its core." (Deadline.com)

SAY UNCLES (NBC, New!) - Boyce Bugliari and Jamie McLaughlin ("The Exes") and comedian Elon Gold are set to team for a new multi-camera comedy at the Peacock "based on Gold's real life, where he is caught in the middle of his interfering brothers and his impressionable children."
