HARROW COUNTY (Syfy, New!) - Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook's Dark Horse comic book is being developed as a drama series by the cable channel. Becky Kirsch will pen the adaptation, which centers on Emmy, "who has always known that the deep, dark woods surrounding her home crawled with ghosts, goblins, and the restless dead. On the eve of her 18th birthday, she learns that she is connected to these creatures and to the land itself in a way she never imagined, for she is the reincarnation of a powerful witch who was put to death on the very day Emmy was born. For this reason, the townsfolk mean to kill her too. In order to survive, Emmy must embrace the unusual powers at her command." Universal Cable Productions is producing. (Deadline.com)

HEIST (NBC, New!) - Chuck Rose ("The Art of More") has sold a potential new drama to the Peacock billed as "a sexy, stylish thriller that follows myriad characters on both sides of a high end jewel heist as they scheme, plot and betray each other on their way to a huge payday that promises to change all their lives." Boardwalk Entertainment's Gary A. Randall also serves as an executive producer. No studio was given. (Deadline.com)

PRESENCE (UNLIC) (ABC/ABCS; W/D: John Ridley) - John Ridley's drama - about Presence Foster, "a former Army veteran who finds herself interacting with a widely divergent, and highly colorful cross-section of Los Angeles as she unintentionally begins a career as an unlicensed (unlic) Private Investigator" - has been ordered to pilot by the Alphabet. He'll also direct and executive produce the hour via his ABC Studios-based International Famous Players Radio Picture Corporation alongside Stearns Castle's Michael McDonald. (Deadline.com)

SECTION 13 (CBS, New!) - Tom Welling ("Smallville") is attached to star in and executive produce a new drama at the Eye about "a CIA black ops officer-turned-private contractor (Welling) who, after a personal tragedy, joins a covert organization devoted to carrying out the most difficult and dangerous high-stakes assignments." Carla Kettner will pen the hour and executive produce alongside Welling via his Warner Bros. Television-based Tom Welling Productions. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - "Mike & Molly" co-star Billy Gardell took to Twitter with the news that the show's upcoming 13-episode season will be its last (@BillyGardell); USA has passed on its period Hollywood pilot "Paradise Pictures" while producer Universal Cable Productions will try and find a home for it elsewhere (Deadline.com); Damon Gupton will recur on "Bates Motel" as a resident doctor at Pineview Mental Institution (Deadline.com); Tim Story is on track to helm the pilot for ABC Family's Nicki Minaj comedy (Deadline.com); Tony Perez's Prince Henry is the latest due back for "Once Upon a Time's" 100th episode (EW.com); Kelly Osbourne will guest on "CSI: Cyber" as "a notorious hacker known as The Angel of Digital Death" (TVLine.com); and Tyra Banks is attached to star in and executive produce "Life-Size 2," a sequel to her 2000 Disney Channel original movie (Variety.com).
