DEATH OF EVA SOFIA VALDEZ, THE (ABC/ABCS; W: Charise Castro Smith; D: TBA) - The Charise Castro Smith-penned drama - about a Cuban-American family on the rise as they navigate multiple business ventures in Miami, familial rivalries and dark secrets from the past that come back to haunt them - has been greenlit to pilot at the Alphabet. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


FLUFFY SHOP, THE (ABC/ABCS; W: Gabriel Iglesias, Jay Lavender & Tim Doyle; D: TBA) - The Gabriel Iglesias-led multi-camera comedy - inspired by the comedian's life experience including the challenges of managing a home life during the few days he spends off the road each week - has received a pilot commitment from the Alphabet. Also executive producing are Becky Clements, Joe Meloche and Marty Adelstein. (Deadline.com)


HAIL MARY (A.K.A. BRAUNSCHLAG) (ABC/ABCS/Sony; W: Brian Gallivan; D: TBA) - Brian Gallivan's domestic take on the Austrian single-camera comedy - about a young small-town mayor named Emma Wolf who has dysfunctional siblings, a dying father, disgruntled citizens, a nearly bankrupt town and the mafia breathing down her neck - has received a pilot commitment from the Alphabet. Seth Gordon and Tariq Jalil also executive produce the project, which has also added ABC Studios as a co-producer. (Deadline.com)


KICKER, THE (A.K.A. UNTITLED JACK BURDITT PROJECT) (CBS/Universal; W: Jack Burditt; D: TBA) - Jack Burditt's multi-camera comedy - about an oddball athlete who drives family, friends and strangers bonkers after he unexpectedly finds himself retired - has scored a pilot order from the Eye. NOTORIOUS (ABC/ABCS/Sony; W: Allie Hagan & Josh Berman; D: TBA) - The drama - which follows the professional and personal relationship between a charismatic attorney and a powerhouse television producer as they attempt to control the media, the justice system, and ultimately each other - is among the latest to score a pilot commitment at the Alphabet. Also executive producing are Jeff Kwatinetz, Josh Barry, Kenny Meiselas, Mark Geragos and Wendy Walker while ABC Studios has been added as a co-producer. (Deadline.com)


PLEASE DON'T GO (ABC/ABCS; W: Meaghan Oppenheimer; D: TBA) - Meaghan Oppenheimer's drama - about the personal and professional life of a ruthless divorce attorney in Dallas, "which begins to unravel when her emotionally damaged, love-addicted sister resurfaces triggering self-destructive tendencies and exposing long-hidden family secrets" - is likewise heading to pilot at the Alphabet. SECOND FATTEST HOUSEWIFE IN WESTPORT, THE (ABC/ABCS; W: Sarah Dunn; D: TBA) - Sarah Dunn's single-camera comedy - narrated by Katie, who is being described as a (slightly) larger wife and mother raising her flawed family of three in a wealthy town filled with perfect wives and their perfect offspring - has been greenlit to pilot at the Alphabet. Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan also executive produces. (Deadline.com)


SPARK (A.K.A. POWER) (ABC/ABCS; W: Michael Cooney; D: TBA) - The Michael Cooney-penned script - a lavish primetime soap of passion, greed and hope set in the alternate reality of Steampunk, circa 2016, telling the story of two rival families battling for power and the woman who takes them down - has booked a pilot presentation order from the Alphabet. Ian Sander and Kim Moses likewise executive produce, presumably for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)


TIME AFTER TIME (ABC/WBT; W: Kevin Williamson; D: TBA) - Kevin Williamson's small screen take on Karl Alexander's 1979 novel-turned-movie of the same name - in which H.G. Wells builds a real time machine to travels to the future in search of Jack the Ripper - has scored a pilot order at the network. (Deadline.com)


TOAST (A.K.A. UNTITLED FOLEY & GRUNBERG PROJECT) (ABC/ABCS; W: Greg Grunberg & Scott Foley; D: TBA) - The duo's hybrid multi-camera comedy - about engaged couple Max and Paige who, over their wedding rehearsal dinner, have their eclectic family and friends give toasts recalling anecdotes about the couple - but flashbacks reveal that the toasts don't always get it right, as we watch the true story of their complicated, funny and relatable road to marriage - has been given a pilot order at the Alphabet. WING PERSON (ABC/ABCS; W: Ed Weeks & Hannah Mackay; D: TBA) - The single-camera comedy - about the co-dependent relationship between a lesbian lothario and her cautious, straight male best friend - has scored a pilot commitment at the network.
