AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Jacob Artist ("Glee") has signed onto the season six ensemble, which now includes Lady Gaga, Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Leslie Jordan. (Deadline.com)
BODY POLITIC (CBS, New!) - Writers Lauren Gussis and Keith Goldberg are set to team with director Marc Webb for a potential drama at the Eye about "a newly minted, brutally honest female chief medical examiner in Washington D.C. who gets recruited by the CIA to help solve the most high-stakes, politicized cases in the world." Dark Horse Entertainment's Michael Richardson will also serve as an executive producer for CBS Television Studios while Dr. Roger Mitchell has been tapped as a consultant. (Deadline.com)
DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC) - Mykelti Williamson has been tapped for a recurring role on the newcomer as Admiral Chernow, "Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a forthright and intelligent career military man who quickly becomes one of President Kirkman's most trusted advisors." (Deadline.com)
GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO DIVORCE (Bravo) - Malcolm-Jamal Warner is bound for the series' third season as Darrell, "an upscale contractor, widower and single father who takes a shine to Retta's Barbara." (TVLine.com)

MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, THE (Amazon) - Tony Shalhoub ("BrainDead") has been cast in Amy Sherman-Palladino's drama pilot as Abe Weissman, "Midge's (Rachael Brosnahan) intellectual father who believes in books and facts and speaking as little as possible." ROSEWOOD (FOX) - LeToya Luckett and Camille Spirlin will both recur on the show's sophomore run. The former will play Tawnya, "a new love interest for Rosewood," with Spirlin as Kayla, "Tawyna's daughter, a sharply intelligent and precociously cynical girl who views Rosewood, the new man in her mom's life, with open suspicion." STAR (FOX) - Charles Pratt ("Desperate Housewives") has signed on to the freshman drama where he'll take over for Charley Murray as co-showrunner alongside Tom Donaghy. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED COHN & MILLER PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Jeremy Miller and Daniel Cohn have sold a new drama to the Alphabet about "a high-powered African American woman who is made the new U.S. Attorney and how she works with her team of attorneys who take on local and federal cases all the while trying to fix the problems in their own life before secrets unravel." The 20th Century Fox Television-based project, which has a penalty attached, is inspired by "BrainDead" and "Scandal" co-executive producer Judy Smith's own story. All three will serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED DAVIS & YU PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Steven Davis and Kelvin Yu ("Bob's Burgers") has sold a new single-camera office comedy to the Peacock about Nora, "a young researcher who travels to the extreme environment of Antarctica with big plans but is surprised to find she'll need a different kind of survival skills to navigate the eccentric people who live and work in this office space at the end of the world." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor also serve as executive producers for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
