Emmy(R) Award Winning Producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson Sign New Exclusive Overall TV Production Deal with FX Productions

LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2016 - FX Productions (FXP) has signed Emmy(R) Award winning producers Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and their production company, Color Force, to a new exclusive overall television production deal, it was announced by Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, the Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions.

Jacobson, Simpson and Color Force will draw on relationships with writer-producers and pursue literary properties for all TV services and platforms. Jacobson, Simpson and Color Force originally signed their first television production with FXP in the fall of 2012, a "first look" deal. This new agreement extends the pact to an overall deal exclusive to FXP. The agreement does not include their film projects. Joe Cohen and Danny Grover of CAA negotiated the deal on behalf of Color Force.

Schrier and Grad said, "For the past four years, we have had the honor of working with Nina and Brad and we're grateful that they will continue to call FX Productions their home for television. Nina and Brad are two of the most accomplished producers in the business and their Emmy Award winning limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story speaks volumes about their extraordinary talents. We're looking forward to working on many more great projects with them."

Jacobson and Simpson added, "John Landgraf and his team at FX have the taste, talent and conviction to inspire the creators who work with them. Their unwavering support and encouragement made 'The People V OJ Simpson: American Crime Story' one of the most creatively gratifying experiences of our careers. We are proud to be partners with the most innovative people in the business and thrilled to call FX our home."

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which they produced with Ryan Murphy, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszweski, was Jacobson and Simpson's first project for TV. The critically acclaimed show received a remarkable 22 Emmy Award nominations, winning nine Emmys including major wins for Outstanding Limited Series, Sarah Paulson for Lead Actress, Courtney B. Vance for Lead Actor, Sterling K. Brown for Supporting Actor, and D.V. DeVincentis for Outstanding Writing.

Color Force, in collaboration with Ryan Murphy, is currently working on the next seasons of the American Crime Story franchise for FX and Fox 21. In addition, they are developing Bryan K. Vaughan's iconic graphic novel Y The Last Man as on ongoing series for FX.

The FX deal complements Color Force's existing feature film first look deal with Fox 2000, with whom they are currently in production on Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Long Haul. This is the fourth film in the successful series. Up next for Color Force is the feature version of the bestselling novels The Goldfinch with John Crowley directing and Crazy Rich Asians with John Chu directing.

Nina Jacobson has built an impressive 20-year career as a senior film executive at three major motion picture studios. Jacobson produced The Hunger Games, based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling novel and subsequent books in the series The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1. The three films grossed a remarkable $2.4 billion combined worldwide. The final film in the series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 was released in November 2015 and to date, the film has grossed over $650 million worldwide. Prior to forming Color Force, Jacobson was president of the Walt Disney Motion Picture Group, and previous to the Disney Post she was a senior film executive at DreamWorks SKG.
