L WORD, THE (Showtime) - Ilene Chaiken's much-ballyhooed drama is being eyed for a revival at the pay channel. Original cast members Jennifer Beals (Bette), Kate Moennig (Shane) and Leisha Hailey (Alice) are expected to appear in the sequel series as well as serve as executive producers. Chaiken likewise will executive produce however won't have hands-on involvement due to her duties as showrunner of "Empire." The search is underway for a successor. (Deadline.com)
MIDSUMMER'S NIGHTMARE, A (Lifetime) - The cable channel has rescheduled the pilot's telecast for Monday, July 31 at 11:02/10:02c.
MOZART IN THE JUNGLE (Amazon) - Masi Oka is slated to recur on the show's fourth season as Fukumoto Akihiro, "the millionaire CEO of a Japanese tech firm who has a strong passion for music. As a supporter of the arts, he represents a possible donor to the Symphony." (TVLine.com)
SHARP OBJECTS (HBO) - Lulu Wilson is the latest addition to the Amy Adams-led limited series as Marian Preaker, "Camille's dead sister, who appears in flashbacks to their childhood." (Deadline.com)
SHOOTER (USA) - Amin Joseph is bound for the upcoming season as Martin Jacobs, "an agent for the ATLAS corporation, who is known and feared among all his fellow soldiers." (Deadline.com)
WESTWORLD (HBO) - Katja Herbers has joined the cast of the show's sophomore run as Grace, "a seasoned guest in Westworld whose latest visit comes at the park's darkest hour." (Deadline.com)
WHITE FAMOUS (Showtime) - Natalie Zea and Kendrick Sampson have both landed recurring roles on the newcomer as Amy, "a high profile Hollywood agent who used to be Malcolm's (Utkarsh Ambudkar) boss"; and Robbie, "a very handsome and talented British actor auditioning with Floyd (Jay Pharoah) for Teddy's project." Lucien Laviscount was previously cast as the latter. (Deadline.com)
