TV ONE'S TRUE CRIME MONDAYS RETURNS ON SEPTEMBER 11 WITH THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "THOU SHALT NOT" and SEASON SEVEN PREMIERE OF "FATAL ATTRACTION"

SILVER SPRING, MD. - SEPTEMBER 7, 2017 - TV One's True Crime Monday programming block gets a refresh just in time for fall with the season seven premiere of Fatal Attraction and the series premiere of Thou Shalt Not on September 11 at 9 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET, respectively.

The true crime series Thou Shalt Not pulls back the curtain on individuals who commit the gravest of crimes and sins, breaking the Ten Commandments in the process. Murders, scandals, cover-ups, and deadly affairs are just a few of the stories in each episode's examination of Godless behavior.

"What makes Thou Shalt Not different is that each story has a direct connection to a religious or spiritual way of life," says Jubba Seyyid, TV One Senior Director of Programming & Production. "Using the expertise of spiritual advisors along with the subtle intricacies of religious iconography, Thou Shalt Not, delves into a space where most shows dare not go."

Each episode examines two stories of people who are connected by the theme of their crimes, one of the Commandments: Worshipping False Gods, Idolatry, Taking the Lord's Name in Vain, Violating the Sabbath, Disrespecting Your Parents, Murder, Adultery, Stealing, Lying and Jealousy. Through first person interviews with family, friends, and experts, the viewer sees a picture of the perpetrator's former life - and how things spiraled.

The premiere episode titled, "Fallen Angels" focuses on Brittany Norwood, a once devout Christian woman who murdered her coworker after she was caught stealing at a store in Bethesda, Maryland; and Donna Moonda, a former nurse from Pennsylvania who conspired with her lover to have her husband killed in order to get his money.

Fatal Attraction delves into real-life stories of criminal acts committed under the guise of love and the tragic consequences that turn deadly. Recounting stories of love-gone-wrong, each episode consists of first-person interviews from loved ones, accounts from investigating officials, interrogation footage, recreations of pivotal moments and haunting cinematography. Fatal Attraction birthed TV One's foray into true crime shows when it launched in 2012. Since then, the series has garnered a strong following of "Arm Chair Detectives" who tune in every Monday night to live-tweet their theories on the case and provide blow-by-blow commentary during the show.

In the season seven premiere episode, "The Eye of the Storm," Pastor Ernest Smith and his loving wife Emma were still recovering from the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, when a mysterious gunman ended this religious man's days on the pulpit. Unfortunately, in a neighborhood still feeling the effects of the hurricane, eyewitnesses are few and far between. After the case goes cold, it looks like Mr. Smith's killer may never be unmasked. Then, another shocking crime unearths a hidden trail of money, lust, and lies leading to two decades worth of blood soaked secrets.

Thou Shalt Not is produced for TV One by Sirens Media, LLC with executive producers Valerie Haselton Drescher, Rebecca Roth Dielenbach, and Anne S. Rothwell. Jubba Seyyid is Executive in Charge of Production and Sr. Director of Programming and Production. Fatal Attraction is produced for TV One by Jupiter Entertainment with Todd Moss as co-executive producer and Robert Twilley and Harrison Land as executives in charge of production. Tia A. Smith is Executive in Charge of Production and Sr. Director of Programming and Production. D'Angela Proctor is Head of Original Programming and Production for TV One.
