100 DAYS TO FALL IN LOVE (Showtime, New!) - The pay channel is developing a domestic take on Ernesto Korovsky, Silvina Frejdkes and Alejandro Quesada's Argentinean telenovela about "best friends, Laura and Antonia, who after almost 20 years marriage, each decide to take a 100-day break from their respective spouses. During this hiatus, they examine their relationships and explore what it means to date in the modern world. After the 100 days, they must decide on whether or not to remain in their marriages." No auspices were given beyond Paramount Television and Viacom International Studios co-producing. (Deadline.com)
CODE, THE (CBS) - Co-star Dana Delany has confirmed the series has been canceled after one season. (@DanaDelany)
DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD (HBO Max) - Dana Calvo has been tapped as co-showrunner of the upcoming series, based on Frank Herbert's classic novel, as part of a multi-year overall deal with Legendary Television. She'll serve alongside creator Jon Spaihts. (Deadline.com)
GUESTS OF THE AYATOLLAH (NGC, New!) - Ken Biller is developing a limited series at the cable channel based on Mark Bowden's book, "which tells the story of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis." Landscape Entertainment's Bob Cooper and Tom Lerner will also executive produce for Fox 21 Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
HOMECOMING (Amazon) - Janelle Monáe has joined the cast of the show's second season as "a tenacious woman who finds herself floating in a canoe, with no memory of how she got there - or even who she is." She succeeds Julie Roberts while season one alums Bobby Cannavale, Stephan James, Hong Chau and Shea Whigham may potentially return. (Deadline.com)
JNNA (Amazon, New!) - Andrew Guest has sold a potential comedy to the streaming service about "the next big investment craze... humans." Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television are both behind the half-hour with Matt Tolmach Productions' Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl also serving as executive producers and Nick Van Der Kolk and Mike Merrill as co-executive producers. L WORD, THE: GENERATION Q (Showtime) - Olivia Thirlby, Fortune Feimster, Lex Scott Davis and Sophie Giannamore will all drop by the reboot series. Thirlby will guest as "the kind-hearted Rebecca, who often finds herself attracted to the wrong kind of women"; with Feimster as Heather, "an aspiring comedian who lacks boundaries"; Davis as Quiara, "a sensual lead singer whose international travels bring her back to L.A."; and Giannamore as Jordi, "a rebellious teen with absent parents." LIKE MAGIC (NBC) - Director Julie Anne Robinson has renewed her first-look deal with producer Universal Television for two more years. The pact will once again give the studio first crack at Robinson's output via her CannyLads Productions. (Deadline.com)
PERRY MASON (HBO) - The Matthew Rhys-led drama has cast Juliet Rylance as Della Street, "E.B. Jonathan's (John Lithgow) legal secretary"; Andrew Howard and Eric Lange as Ennis and Holcomb, "homicide detectives within the LAPD"; Robert Patrick as Herman Baggerly, "a major player in a variety of Southern California industries"; and Stephen Root as Maynard Barnes, "a formidable prick of a man who knows how to glad-hand and intimidate whenever an occasion calls." TRANSMISSIONS (Quibi, New!) - Jed Mercurio is developing science fiction thriller at the short-form service about "a remote radio observatory where a lone scientist begins receiving eerie signals from deep space." He'll write and executive produce via his HTM Television alongside Hat Trick Productions' Jimmy Mulville. (Deadline.com)
