(New York, NY - June 16, 2020) --- BET+ announces the second season of fan favorite series Carl Weber's "The Family Business" will launch Thursday, July 2. Half of the twelve-episode season will be available at launch, giving viewers six hours of episodic gems. Season 2 continues to follow the Duncan family as they look to further solidify their position as a leading faction in the New York criminal underworld.

This season will pick up where the debut season concluded, as the Duncans work to calm tensions with rivals, The Zunigas. Family patriarch, L.C. Duncan and eldest son Orlando execute a plan to expand business operations with their proprietary drug 'heat,' but as they gain momentum in the venture, they face opposition from some old and new foes. For some in the Duncan clan, individual drama mounts that could threaten their lives and ruin the family business. Will they be able to stay intact and navigate these dangerous scenarios, or will things fall apart?

"The Family Business" stars Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Darrin DeWitt Henson, Javicia Leslie, Sean Ringgold, Tami Roman, Miguel A. Nunez, Arrington Foster, KJ Smith, Dylan Weber, Yadi Valerio and Emilio Rivera, who will reprise their roles in the cast, alongside a bevy of guest stars including LisaRaye McCoy, Eva LaRue, Michael Jai White, Christian Keyes, Treach, Robert Picardo, Travis Winfrey, Anthony Montgomery, Nicholas Turturro, Eric Roberts, Brely Evans, Sam Asghari, Flex Alexander, Buddy Lewis, Mario Rodriguez Jr., Franky G, Louie Ski Carr and Telma Hopkins.

Carl Weber's "The Family Business" is based on the New York Times best-selling crime drama series and follows the Duncans, an upstanding tight knit family that, by day, owns and operates an exotic car dealership in New York. By night, their business activities are more illicit in nature.

Tri Destined Studios' creative team for the series includes Nikaya D. Brown Jones, serving as Showrunner and Executive Producer and Trey Haley, Co-executive Producer and Director.
